MRT hoax bomb alert, police traced and caught culprit

  被告朱�超（译音）日�承认一项虚报炸弹，抵触电信法令控状，律师昨天�求法官判处被告罚款，但法官判他�牢6个月。

  法官下判时说，地�站是一个�感和��地方，被告有预谋地干案，虚报那里有炸弹，导致警方须部署更多人手以策安全。法庭须严惩被告，以儆效尤。

  被告案�时是裕廊海港�人有�公�一�海港�作执行员，根�阿�康律师的求情，去年2月25日，被告轮值晚�，他在晚上8时30分出门，从勿洛地�站�地�上�，他必须在10时之�抵达湖畔地�站，然��公�安排的巴士到海港。

  地�列车行驶时多次延误，几次中途�车，而且列车�到一个地�站时，车厢门比平时开得久�关闭。被告并未��广播解释延误的原因。

  被告担心上�迟到，赶紧在武�士地�站下车，准备�德士上�。他感到懊�，便�地�站控制室查询，哪知控制室�员答说没事�生。

  尽管如此，被告走�德士站�德士，德士站��大排长龙，他知�无法�时上�，便拨电申请一天的紧急�期，然�乘�巴士回家。

  被告回到家里，对地�列车延误令他焦虑，使他无法上�，越想越心烦，便拨电陆路交通管�局热线询问，一��员表示会将他的询问转给SMRT处�，跟�挂线。他很生气，一时没想到�果，便电邮给内政部的民�组（Feedback Section）。

  根�案情，被告去年2月26日凌晨1时45分到早上8时38分之间，在�市�组屋�家传�电邮，虚报地�站和列车车厢有一颗炸弹。

  �天下�约5时，内政部�员在整�公众的�馈时�现电邮，于是报警。警方从电邮上的手机��，追查到一�女�，但调查显示她与案件无关。�过调查，警方追查到被告的身份，将他逮�。

  阿�康律师求情说，本案并未造�公众�慌，警方也没�散人群，地��务未�干扰，希望法官顾念被告是�犯，并且是一时糊涂犯错，判处被告罚款。

  主控官则�求法官判被告�牢，主控官说，被告虚报炸弹，没指明哪个地�站，警方在�个地�站和巴士转�站部署约60�警员，指示他们��高度戒备，加强巡逻。除此，�安辅警�地�站�员�巴士公�都被动员，被告所为浪费了资�。

  他指出，地�站和地�列车是�感和��地方，被告仅因�满地�列车延误，有预谋地传�电邮，虚报炸弹��泄�满情绪，心怀��。被告自己承认这么�是�给SMRT制造麻烦。

  他说，被告利用虚报的身份传�电邮，使警方需花费人力和物力追查被告身份，而警方上门�人，被告�肯承认，结果警方须作进一步调查。他也说，警方未�散人群，是因为被告虚报的讯�未指明哪个地�站。

  主控官说，凡案件涉�虚报炸弹，牵涉公众利益，法庭须�出强烈阻�讯�，警惕人们罪行的严�性。

  6 months' jail for bomb hoax

  A MAN who triggered a state of high alert among police and security forces with a bomb hoax was yesterday jailed for six months.

  Chu Seng Chou, a 37-year-old port operations executive, had, on Feb 26 last year sent an e-mail to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) with the line 'Train Car and Station have a bomb'.

  No train station was specified.

  An MHA assistant executive, upon seeing the e-mail, alerted the police.

  Sixty police officers were mobilised, and patrols near all train and railway stations and bus companies stepped up.

  The court heard that Chu pulled off the hoax to vent his anger over a delay in the train service the evening before.

  Why people bomb hoax go jail but in singapore when religious harmony is also very important some pastor preached and insulted buddism yet never kena sued by any buddhism organization? no matter the religion anyone who make any false or no based remarks about another religion should be made into a pasta.

  Hmm... email was send on midnight then discover at 5pm the next day... I think if it was real... then the station/train would had blown into pieces before the email was spotted. This really shows how they really look into their emails in MHA
