Three baby boys are the first newborns to usher in the year of the Tiger in Singapore.
All three were born at the stroke of midnight.
Gleneagles Hospital welcomed two of the three little Tiger babies this year.
And it was extra special for British citizens, Julie and Andrew Murphy.
It's their first time having a child delivered in Singapore, what more
on the very first day of the new Chinese Zodiac calendar.
"Totally surprised and shocked and lucky I guess?Lucky. Flabbergasted, totally a big surprise, totally unexpected. "
Just doors away were Lydia Ang and Vincent Lim, who welcomed their second child and son.
Ms Ang said it's a blessing to have a Lunar New Year and Valentine's Day baby.
" Think it was especially meaningful for both of us, this was our
second kid, I think it is also exceptionally exciting, for us to be
counting down in the delivery suite. So hopefully it will be an
auspicious start to his life".
It was also an anxious wait for Lim Bee Ling and Yong Jin Foong who had their child delivered at Thomson Medical Centre.
Ms Lim elaborates.
"Excited, because I did not expect him to be born on that day, expected
him to be born on the 13th instead, one day earlier, because I was
admitted earlier".
The three newborns have been awarded the RISIS Gift of Hope Education Investment Award, worth $8,888.
The money that will be shared among the three babies, will be made available to them once they turn 18.
