Ex-SGX CEO Hsieh Fu Hua appointed special adviser to Temasek chief
SINGAPORE: Former Singapore Exchange CEO Hsieh Fu Hua has been appointed a special adviser to Temasek Holding's chief Ho Ching.
In a statement, Temasek said Mr Hsieh will support the company's management in leadership development and talent management.
The investment company disclosed this as it announced new board appointments.
Temasek said Mr Hsieh joined the Temasek Board as non-executive director on February 1.
He is co-founder and adviser of PrimePartners group of companies, a
corporate and investment advisory business based in Singapore.
He was CEO and non-independent director of the Singapore Exchange from
2003 to 2009, with 35 years' experience in merchant banking and capital
markets in Asia.
Temasek has also appointed Mr Michael Lien as a non-executive director with effect from January 2.
Mr Lien is deputy chairman and executive director of Wah Hin & Co, a Singapore-based investment company.
Mr Lien has been appointed a member of the Temasek's Audit
Committee and the Leadership Development & Compensation Committee
(LDCC), while Mr Hsieh has been appointed to the LDCC as well as the
Board Executive Committee.
With their appointments, the Temasek Board now comprises nine non-executive directors out of a total of 11 board members.
