TODAY a free publication in singapore for many years now has ceased distribution at most MRT stations. This could be an indication of the company being in the RED. singaporeans were dumbfounded and astonished when they found no crowd at the usal distribution areas across Singapore at 7.30am. this is the first sign of trouble.
TODAY which has a wide network of readers and second after another media The Straits Times has disappeared from most MRT stations last friday Feb 26. I did not realise it until people told me that there has not been any distribution for the last 4 days at other MRT stations as well. there was no announcement,News or reports given by TODAY. As a public media they should hav made an announcement prior to this withdrawal. they abruptly ceased free distribution without warning. They have mentioned in the past that TODAY will remain free for a very long time however why the sudden U turn. This are very clear indications that the company is in financial difficulties and soon to go bust. In the past many large companies did the same before going bust. They will withdraw their products, decrease quality and ultimately close down.
