THE boss of a Singapore-listed firm has been hacked to death in his office by an axe-wielding employee.
Mr Pu Dexing, 46, chairman and chief executive of Yong Xin International Holdings, died from his injuries after the horrific assault in Wuxi City in Jiangsu province last Thursday.
Chinese media reports said that the attacker, who has been arrested, was a 55-year-old salesman angry over a transfer. He is also reported to have the surname Pu.
The company's executive director and chief operating officer, Mr Yuan Xuan Li, said in a statement yesterday: 'We are shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Mr Pu.
'We will miss Mr Pu dearly and our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time of bereavement.'
He said that Mr Pu was 'a brilliant entrepreneur who led with vision and passion'.
