  Case of school principal accused of bullying, abuse & embezzlement being reviewed by MOE

  SINGAPORE: The Education Ministry is currently reviewing accusations against the principal of a secondary school in Pasir Ris.

  Channel NewsAsia understands from a source that the principal has been accused of bullying, abuse and embezzlement.
  
  When asked about these accusations, an MOE spokesperson told Channel NewsAsia that the case is currently under review.
  
  She added that the principal has been given a new assignment at the MOE headquarters in the interim.

  a secondary school can have budget for many projects, it could be money from there. Haha, i'm expecting some cover ups by MOE. But then again, can we trust news from CNA? God knows if they verify.

  to this day I have no idea if it was a hoax but its been used as example of misuse of public funds for IPAM courses

  Normally, different departments in statuory boards have to write in to justify their budgets, and when it is budgeted, and they don't spend it, they have even more explaining to do.

  For example, your department budget this much for a new photocopy machine, but when the financial year is coming to an end, and the budget is not used to purchase it yet, reason being the current one is still fine. hohoho good luck to them. They have to spend it somewhere else. Just ask around the catering companies, how many buffet lunches do stat boards organise a month.

  that is what the revised estimate in september is for. to declare savings so that you don't kena penalised later on for failing to meet the utilisation target. unless, of course, you actually want those buffet lunches.

  Depends on which is easier? Do paperwork to revise costing, or claim receipt for buffet lunches?

  Not much lar, 6-8k a month. Still not enough to take a family of 4 to france to learn cooking for 2 weeks.

  Phew! MOE shld sack this principle!

  Teachers under-performed in sch, HOD (Head of dept) take responsibility!

  Pupil under-performed in sch, teachers held responsibility!

  Admin lasped in sch, AM (Admin manager) take responsibility!

  OSO (Operation support offr) screwed up in sch, OM (Operation manager) answer!

  Student missing in sch, Security guard answer... wait! go and look for them first!

  As long as any screwed-up and laspes in sch, The Principle take full responsibility!
