Teacher in class, student whacks classmate's head

  This student was caught on video attacking his classmate's head with a broom in class, even in their teacher's presence.
  
  STOMPer Anit-Paikia, who sent in the video, said:
  
  "The teacher was in class yet the students were fighting.
  
  "One of them took a broom and whacked the other guy's head very hard."

  How come that poor student never report to the teacher or his parent? Let his parent come to the school and do something about it. Like take action, call police or even take the law at his own hand.

  I dont like bully students around. They bullly they firece, but they are croward, if they can bully, they should go to police station and be a bully in front of the police.

  Student who whacked classmate with broomstick counselled

  
  

  The student who was caught on video attacking his classmate with a broomstick has been counselled. The principal of the students confirmed this in her reply to STOMPer Rachel, who wrote to her after watching the video on STOMP.
  
  The video showed the student hitting his classmate on the head repeatedly with a broomstick, in front of the teacher in the classroom.
  
  After writing in to the principal of the school for comments, STOMPer Rachel then forwarded the principal's reply to STOMP.
  
  In her reply, the Principal said:
  
  "The school takes a serious view of the matter.
  
  "Disciplinary action is being taken on the students involved according to the school rules.
  
  "The students have also been counselled, and have apologised for their behaviour.
  
  "The parents of both students have been informed of the incident and are working closely with the school.
  
  "The Form Teacher of the students involved is following up with the class and helping them learn from this incident, using this as a learning moment to teach them respect and on the potential danger of such acts."

  Counselling? Pfft. Schools are getting really soft with discipline. Counselling is for people who need help, not bullies. Bullies need to be disciplined.

  In my time (and that wasn't too long ago), this would have called for the rotan. 

  In the school assembly hall. With the whole school watching.

  cannot anyhow hit students now already ma... The teachers will get sued or complained... I am sure you heard of such cases in newspaper before. Now kids are like treasure cannot be caned 1...no physical punishments allowed.
