Boy bullied for over a year but school doesn't take action

STOMPer School had repeatedly written to the school but nothing was done except for a lecture from the teacher. Her son had been bullied since last year.
The STOMPer wrote in an email (July 28):
"My Pri 5 son was bullied countless times since Pri 4 by this same classmate and I had written several emails to the school since the bullying first started but I did not get any reply.
"I had met and called the Vice-Principal several times and I had spelt out clearly during the meeting that should my son be physically abused (bruised) again, I will not hesitate to seek help from the proper authorities.
"Had spoken to the Principal earlier this year in person to request for a meeting with the bully's parents it was to no avail as nothing was arranged.
"Now an 'incident' has happened again and the teacher only lectured the bully again, which is not solving the root cause.
"This incident just happened a few hours ago (July 28, 2010) and it is the worst case.
"Upon entering the classroom after another lesson, my son found that the table was quite far from his chair so he pulled the table towards himself.
"The bully came from behind to pull away his table and then pushed it towards my son, causing the injury.
"Thereafter the teacher only gave the bully a lecture.
"In fact the bully had tried to lay his hand on my son on 24 Jul night (9pm) after coming back from the National Day Parade but was chased away by the form teacher.
"Prior to this, 2 weeks ago, the bully had used his bag to swing at my son's face.
"The next day I narrated the incident to the Principal and the form teacher was displeased. He claimed that he should be the first to know. But in fact, on that day he was on MC and how to inform him...
"This bully always picks on my son and of course there are 5 other people involved at times.
"Had told my son to stay away from them (especially during recess time) but since it is the same class it is quite hard to avoid.
"Is my son going to continue to suffer again?" -
while it's bad that the school's not been taking any action .....
the parents have a role ot play too .....
the kid has to learn to stand up for himself, otherwise he'll always be a target and be bullied and trod up for the rest of his life.
telling him to simply avoid the bullies is not the answer ....

I dunno say how many times liao, teachers nowadays are hum ji to the max. If you are a little naughty or seems like ah bengs & lians, they prefer to close one eye because they don wanna get trouble. Where got like teachers last time? More beng than the students.

It has been a year, who in the right mind would have tolerated with such bullying.

there are no model answers for this, but I'm sure to keep backpedalling in the face of bullies is not the right thing for the small kid to learn. Life is full of shit .... you can't keep swallowing all of the shit life throws at you.
One must learn to make a stand in life, to draw the line. As to where the line is .... it's something only the individual can answer ...

i know of cases where the victim fought back and used physical force on the bully, and ended up the victim punishment was much mroe severe then the bully, like caning..

When it comes to bullying, no simple solution can be found.
Sometimes it's not u r timid or lack assertiveness they pick on u.
Bully pick on u sometimes like because u gt funny face,nerdy facial appearance,very short,birthmark,funny hairstyle and other things that attract attention.

my manager ans enoir worse. my subordinate tok louder to me and he still react like nothing happen. so everyone like that can push the blame to me when things do wrongly. mah. ask me to tell the fatass subordinate do things, they know i tok to her she sure raise her voice and don't execute the job. so in situation when sure cock up theytell me to tell her do, then no one do they will push the blame to me. this type of cock up place really is a challenge. some kind of supervisor. but i tellk you my silly subordinate you look at er you will not nlike her one. not agile, fat like a pig, no work experience everyday ask and beg for OT. no wonder my customer so many complaint.s all the things she never check just send out, i have to fight fire everyday.

i got one plan to put this bullying to a stop once and for all...............see if your son got the guts to do it..........
next time at recess time, wait for the bully to be seated and eating..............then your son buy a bowl of hot mee with soup...............make sure it's really hot.....
then have your son ''accidentally'' pour the hot bowl of mee over the bully's head lor...........that should have the bully hospitalized and disfigured so he won't be at school anymore liao............
REPEAT if needed..............this time, buy a bowl of beehoon............cannot be mee again what, right ?
