  VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Joe Holt has been waiting for justice for his family.

  Now, he finally sees it coming. In February, Holt's 89-year-old grandmother was raped in her own home. Police charged Kindale Moore, 21, with the attack. But for months, Holt's family waited for Moore to go to court. The time turned pain into frustration.

  "She just reaches towards God and asks Him to give her the strength and that has helped a lot," said Holt of his grandmother.

  The wait ended Friday morning, as Holt's grandmother went to court for preliminary hearings. Holt said his grandmother is doing well. Being in court was difficult for her, he said, but a necessary step along the path for justice.

  "Hopefully this guy's going to go away for a long time and not be seen on the streets for a while," Holt said.

  Kindale Moore faces similar charges in Portsmouth, where police said he sexually assaulted an 87-year-old woman in her home. Holt said he's glad the case is finally moving forward in court.
