The management of Mimosa Park condominium has banned its resident and Singapore Idol Hady Mirza and his family from using its common facilities for six months.
MediaCorp understands that the family’s access passes have been
cancelled for the use of the pool, the gymasium and the squash court and
comes after a private family gathering on October 2nd.
The Management Council said it took the decision after cleaners had to be called in after the party to clear up the mess.
Used paper plates and uneaten food were found thrown into the pool while toilets were choked and damaged.
The cleaners took six hours to clean up the mess.
Chairman of the Management Council, Leonard Lee, said, this was not the first time Hady and his family had infringed rules.
The family’s visitors often parked their cars illegally, despite repeated reminders not to do so.
Last week, the chairman sent a letter to the family, informing them that
their $500 tenant deposit has been forfeited because of the incident.
Hady's family has been living in a four-bedroom rented apartment at the condominium for the last three years.
When contacted, 30-year-old Hady declined to comment on the matter because "it’s personal".
However, MediaCorp understands that his mother has sent a letter of apology to the Management Council.
