More students dabbling in sex, say counsellors

SINGAPORE: Counsellors in Singapore said they are seeing a 10 to 15 per cent increase in sexuality cases among students, over the last few years.
Students are starting to dabbling in sexual issues at an earlier age, with some even going as far as posting sexual acts online.
Fei Yue Family Centre counsellor Iris Lin said uploading videos and photos was not difficult.
She added that most youths know where to draw the line, but some like to push the boundaries, when uploading such videos.
The Psychological Wellness Centre medical director and psychiatrist Nelson Lee said: "In terms of puberty, perhaps it comes on a bit earlier nowadays for various reasons, but we know there's a mis-match between their emotional maturity such as understanding relationships and feelings, and sexual maturity.
"So, if they get exposed to a lot of sexualised behaviour, very often what they accept as norms may be mismatched to what an adult may be able to understand better".
Some counsellors say there are many dangers when youths expose themselves to sexual content.
"Every single day of their lives, there could be lessons whereby (parents) can teach their children to love their bodies when it comes to sexuality.
"Our bodies are not made for people to just view - they are precious," said Ms Lin.

Forget it la...look at europe, countries like spain and france. Teens have sex as young as 10. Oh 10 is not a teen right lol. It's just what happens in developed nations.

With the arrival of fast speed Internet. The government cannot continue to just ban porngraphy. Banning is like sweeping the whole issue under the capet.
Let the young see them but teach them the right values along with it. Arm the parents and Teachers with materials to guide the Children correctly.
