  BRAZILIAN superstar footballer Ronaldo confirmed on Wednesday via his official Twitter account ClaroRonaldo that he is the biological father of five-year-old boy Alexander.

  Ms Michele Umezu, 28, is the mother who used to work in Singapore as a freelance model. She had slept with Ronaldo while working in Toyko in 2004.

  'The test results proved what I showed my feelings when I saw Alex,' Ronaldo tweeted in Portuguese in his first post on Tuesday night.

  The three-time Fifa World Player of the Year then continued: 'Alex is my son, the brother of three more beautiful children like him. And I will always be a father to all the pleasures and duties. Welcome.'

  Brazilian football star Ronaldo confirmed yesterday via his official Twitter account that he is the biological father of five-year-old boy Alexander, whose mother Michele Umezu he had slept with in 2004.

  'The result of the exam verified what my feelings showed me at the moment when I saw Alex,' he tweeted in Portuguese in his first post on Tuesday night.

  The three-time Fifa World Player of the Year had met Alex on Sunday in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where his current club Corinthians is based.

  The next day, he underwent a DNA test which later proved that the child, whom guests at a reception hosted by the Brazilian embassy in Singapore earlier this year noted bore a striking resemblance to the two-time World Cup winner, was indeed his own.

  'Alex is my son, the brother of three more beautiful children like him,' wrote Ronaldo, 34. 'And I will always be a father with all the pleasures and duties. Welcome.'
