the US Department of Defence owns the internet and can kill it ...............and yet Wikileaks is allowed to even exist ???
the US Govt can't and didn't do much to stop it...............wouldn't the Israeli Mossad kill the guy long ago ?
the plan is to fool the general population into thinking world events are not orchestrated but are random and to hide the true puppet-masters...............and also to increase friction among rival groups and nations.......

Manning then tracked down a computer hacker to get 250,000 pages of classified US State Department cables out.
### The 250,000 pages end up with Julian Assange, who selects New York Times which promoted faked propaganda against Saddam that led to the Iraqi war!!!
### New York Times assigned David E. Sanger, to control release of the Wikileaks material. Sanger is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations together with the likes of Condi Rice, Defense Secretary William Perry, CIA head John Deutch, State Department Deputy Secretary and now World Bank head Robert Zoellick among others !!!
### Assange says he believes the US Government version of 9/11 and calls the Bilderberg Group a normal meeting of people !!!

yes, the us invented the internet. but they certainly do not own it in this day and age.and today, once something is uploaded onto the internet, there's nothing you can do to bring it down. excluding the servers, individual websurfers also have the ability to download stuff onto their own computer for storage, thus making removable impossible.
and killing assange doesnt do a bit of help.
assange is the founder of the site, but he is not the source of the leak. you can remove him, but the people who are leaking these classified documents will still be on the loose, and these people are the actual people who are causing all these trouble for the governments.
Wikileaks should be supported for its role as a governmental watchdog. if not for it, how would we ever find out the wrongdoings of our leaders?

other countries failed to convince the americans from relinquishing control and ownership of the internet..........the defence department has the kill switch in their hands.......

Tell me how exactly does the US have a kill switch? the internet cannot be broken down, unless you actually do something to the land lines.
and even at best, all they can do is to disconnect all of the US lines, resulting in their own isolation, while the rest of the world stays connected.
the internet is essentially a giant intranet, and since a huge number of computers and servers lies outside US, the US has no control over the net.
even China, wellknown for its Great Firewall, isn't able to control its own internet 100%.
if they can't do it they won't be talking about it and other countries won't be so scared they'll do it............
since the Department of Defence is the official owner..............

With every "crisis", the world's population in general, have its rights and privileges taken away. In that sense, governments might be getting bigger.
Example. CCTVs in england. Where CCTVS are installed on the streets to cut crime!
