Malaysian police fall to 'black magic' spell

Kuala Lumpur (The Star/ANN) - Five Malaysian policemen apparently suffered stomach aches after the suspected mastermind of a motorcycle theft syndicate allegedly used santau (black magic) on them, Malaysian newspaper Harian Metro reported.
The daily quoted one victim identified as Hafis, 23, who claimed that one of them suffered a bloated stomach.
He said that earlier, one policeman received a threatening SMS that they would be hit by a needle and that death awaited them.
He claimed that the SMS came from a suspect in a motorcycle theft syndicate, whom they had arrested in May.
Hafis said they consulted a bomoh (traditional medicine man) after doctors failed to diagnose the cause of their stomach aches and fever.
The bomoh told them the "mastermind" had used santau angin (wind curse) and santau katak puru (toad curse), which caused them to suffer from the ailments.
The bomoh also told them the mastermind had used nails, needles, hair and bones as the ingredients in the santau to poison his targets.
Hafis said the bomoh advised them to stop frequenting their favourite restaurant as the santau was targeted at them and the food they eat at the place.

What is real is real. You can have as much faith but if you knowingly put yourself in it, you only have to answer for your own stupidity.

finally the urban legend is true..
some time back, an encik told me abt smth in msia that's reportedly worse than goreng pisang/foods fried in oil with melted plastic in it.. reportedly according to msian papers which he got the source from, some mee siam/rebus stalls/shops got some 'lap sup' content in their food which will make their customers want to come back again and again unknowingly, and as i enquired further, it was black magic which the cooks had placed a cast upon during preparation =.= seems really wtf
anw in straits times also, does anything related to those chinese/taoism superstition stuffs get unacknowledged?

No .....there is a scientific and objective explanation for this.
It is called...
Psychosomatic.
Basically it means, that those policemen become sick because they believe or think that they are sick.
In other words,
It is self-suggestion.
It is psychological.
All these are explainable by science.
Ok, as a proof...........do you notice that when you are nervous....let's say you need to do an important presentation tomorrow......you will have higher heart rate, you will have difficulty sleeping......
This is called Psychosomatic.
Your mind is unsettled, and it is causing physical effects.
This is the same case.
Bomoh, etc, actually are all nonsense.

Then how come sometimes they seem like real, and really has effects? How come there are so many stories ?
That is because the victims "believe" in it, and therefore they caused psychosomatic symptoms to themselves. It is a self-suggestion.
So dont be fooled with all these bomoh mythologies.
