THE body of a woman suffering from depression was found barely a metre away from that of her 15th floor neighbour at the foot of their Bishan St 13 block on Monday.
Administrative assistant Ng Sock Luan, 48, and retiree Lau Fong Kien, 55, who lived on the 11th and 15th floor respectively, were long-time residents of the block but did not know each other.
A member of the public had alerted police at about 11.20am about the two bodies.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene when paramedics arrived shortly later. Some medication and food items were discovered next to Ms Lau's body.
It is believed that they died around the same time.
The two women had very different personalities, relatives told The Straits Times, adding that Madam Ng could have fallen on Ms Lau.
It was also speculated that mdm Ng who wanted to suicide had fallen on Ms Lau...

if die from jumping down than you will see all the organs coming out from the body..

She wanted to get a good view of the body to see who it was so she climbed on something. She loses her balance and fall to her death without any suicidal intentions.

a sad story, Singapore need to reduce HDB flats so less places for people to jump!

Neighbours at Bishan block mourn deaths
ONE fall, two deaths.
At least, it looks to be that way with the pair of women for whom wakes are being held in adjoining blocks in Bishan Street 13.
Their families, who barely know each other, were trying to come to terms with the deaths on Tuesday, even as police reviewed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to find out how the pair came to be found dead at the foot of the same block on the same day, at the same time.
One of them is believed to have been crushed when the other fell on her, but what exactly happened on Monday morning is a mystery.
No witnesses have come forward.
Ms Lau Fong Kien, a 55-year-old retiree who lived on the 15th floor, had head injuries and wounds on her knee.

really want commit suicide must check the wind speed and see below got people or not. if see people walking must estimate the time to jump so that can land before or after people walk. this type even our mordern pilots cannot muster the skills. ask the old acce pilots of ww2 era from allied to axis pilots all trained to make judgement as dive bombers, torpedo bombers and fighter bombers.
the one who jump wants to die. but they don;t know the people walking below don;t want to, not yet.
selfish people, like those who jump MRRT track ones.
