SINGAPORE : A suspicious-looking van was spotted at the headquarters of Singapore's Islamic Religious Council, or MUIS, on Friday evening. Parked near the entrance of headquarters, the van was spray-painted with expletives. MUIS said in a statement that it does not know who the vehicle belongs to. It is believed that the man, who had parked the van, ran into the mosque and disappeared. MUIS called the police immediately. The police are conducting investigations and arranging for the van to be towed. - CNA/al

S'porean male arrested over van spray-painted with expletives
SINGAPORE : A 49-year-old Singaporean Malay man has been arrested for allegedly driving a van spray painted with offensive writing and parking it near Singapore's Islamic Religious Council (MUIS).
Police confirmed they arrested the man on Saturday at Bedok North.
He is believed to be mentally unsound.
The van was spray-painted with expletives about the Malay community and parked outside the Singapore Islamic hub at Braddell Road on Friday, causing a stir.
Police investigations are ongoing.
