Alleged molester nabbed after victim spots him

CALL it birthday luck. A speech therapist celebrating her 26th birthday on Thursday spotted and confronted a man who had allegedly molested her on a bus three days earlier.
The woman, who did not want to be named, was travelling in a car with her family when she spotted the man, a foreigner, in Jalan Besar. His distinctive gait was a dead giveaway to her.
She alerted her father, who got out of the car and caught up with him. The man knew his game was up when he saw her. He admitted to touching her, and sought forgiveness. She considered giving him a second chance, but thought better of it and called the police.
Her ordeal had begun at about 5pm on Monday when she boarded bus service 23 from the Tekka Market bus stop in Little India. She found it odd when the man sat beside her when there were many other vacant seats, but dismissed her misgivings.
Even when she felt a slight tickle on her hip, she thought she may have been imagining it. She was also distracted by the music on her MP3 player.
'I didn't think he would dare to touch me. He was so skinny,' said the heavy-set woman. But then the man's fingers were on her hip a second time.
