Hopefully the residents in the block will be able to drink from the tap.
They will still continue as if the tank have not been changed.
The tank changing only stopped the complains.
They will boil all the water for drinking first.

A NEW water tank has been installed on the rooftop of Block 686B, Woodlands Drive 73.
It replaces a tank which was removed last Wednesday after the body of Indonesian maid Ruliyawati, 30, was found in it on May 16.
A Bangladeshi cleaner has been charged with her murder.
Contractors engaged by Sembawang-Nee Soon Town Council put up the new tank on Monday.
Unlike the other seven tanks on the rooftop which are concrete and round, the new one is squarish and made of fibreglass.
It is expected to start supplying water to the block's 149 units by next Thursday after it has been cleaned, flushed and sterilised, and after water-sampling tests.

How is it a foreigner can have access to the roof top where the water tanks are?
If he can put a body in the tank, he can certainly put other substances in the tank, and then it would be catastropic, not disgusting.
The roof top and the water tank must be secure areas.
Essence of dead woman, anybody?

You anyhow pick a post to quote, is it?
THE tightened measures for Town Councils (TCs), Management Committee Strata Titles (MCSTs) and building owners to strengthen security of water tanks on their premises will be implemented by Friday.
But national water agency PUB will extend the implementation date for the bolting or securing of the water tank covers and the use of high quality locksets with non-duplicable keys, to Dec 31 2011.
This is because PUB has through its dialogues with TC/MCST/building owners, received feedback that they need more time to bolt tank covers and replace locksets.
All other measures, including stricter control of authorised personnel and restricting holders of the keys to only authorised personnel, are to be implemented by Friday.
PUB also encourages members of the public to report any suspected unauthorised access to the premises where water storage tanks are located, to the respective TC/MCST/building owner immediately. They could also call the PUB-One 24-hour toll-free hotline at 1800-2846600.
