A WAR relic was found at Palawan Beach in Sentosa yesterday - adding to two other finds elsewhere just last month.
The police said they received a phone call at about 6pm, notifying them about a 4.7-inch (12cm) projectile. As it was in a construction site closed to the public, the police said it will pose no risk to public safety.
When The Sunday Times visited the area last night, police officers and bomb disposal experts were analysing the situation.
The site is to house amenities such as a single-storey facility and an open-water play area. Work is slated to be completed in the last quarter of this year.
The police said the bomb 'is expected to be rendered safe' today .
Last month, a 160kg bomb was dug up by construction workers at a furniture warehouse in Sungei Kadut.
