You are refering to a bunch of highly educated and highly paid group.
They are not confused but they choose to ignore the findings as they have seen him worked hard for the group.
It is human nature to be in self denial if some one that you trusted have betrayed you.
Cos it implied that you are erred in your judgement.
No one want to be told that they are wrong especially for working adults who have gave some much of their time and money to a cause.
But, as some of the members from other group, they should take this chance to reflect whether the teaching that they have been conditioned adhere to the actual teaching.

whats important is not to obstruct the judicial process and let the law runs its course..the public angst over the matter is understandable...but the emotions of the concurrent majority could equally be overwhelmed against the right course of things...
we need to distinguish the moral tenets of religion from those people exploiting it...
lamentably, i think its critical that new form of civics and moral education must be reinstated to remind from early schooling till they become adult....of course there will be bad apples...but we need to prevent them from turning rotten...
we have become too success-and-materialistically ridden...

They will not get involved in this issue as the court will deliver the sentence.
You have to remember that the majority of the group are sinkie.

Then you gather a group of close henchmen and you stage testimonies and Hail hallelujah you have a following that grows and grows. When church service became a theatrical stage work of organised fanfare...something is not quite right...Imagine the congregation saying: we love you Pastor Kong all the time...ridiculous! Shouldn't they praise God and Jesus rather than Pastor Kong? crazy! In california LA you can get very very decent housing for less that 5000/- a month ....but how much did they spend? Where did the money come from for putting a relatively unknown person on the Billboard charts? and then again why wasn't a contest held to see who sings better in the whole church? Are we saying that she is really the best singer in the whole church for whatever cross over? And cross what over? cross over to where? Why USA why not sing Vietnamese or Laotian or Bengali to cross over in Vietnam Laos and Bangala?

Totally agree with you . We have brought up two gnerations of people without a basic foundation in civics and ethics education. There is such a thing as conscience( no need to be religious to have that) .Sure there are two sides to any story. The right side and the wrong side . Because of the forcus materialistic pursuit some of these younger ones don't seem to realise that the means doesn't justify the ends. So you want to convert the whole world if it is possible . Even then, you got to do it the right way- no crossing over the limits and boundaries of what is right .and what is the law. -

It is not a matter of supppression of Chinese education. The problem with the education system was they neglected ethics and civics as a subject . The focus was so much on the sciences that they forgot to teach the young to live as decent human beings with a conscience to know right from wrong and good from bad. It now so bad- that even if they commit a wrong they also feel justified in doing the wrong they do! So you see the consequences of what is happening- Singapura - the new Corrupted Hub-(look at the number of cases involving all these high profile people) Now for every case apprehended there is very possibly another 10 to 20 undetected cases, some maybe more or less in terms of the amounts involved- but still wrongs of society!
