Hi all bros, I finally got my crown and started driving. Today is my 2nd day. But maybe I'm too gan cheong or what, made some wrong turns and ended up taking a long route.1st time, I apologised, told pax my 1st day, told him to pay me his usual fare. Ok still not too bad. But today, terrible, wrong exit, lady pax face black, did not collect full fare again. Told myself got to be more zai. Maybe really need more time to get familiar with routes. However, can't help feeling abit upset, these 2 days net income after rental and diesel, can't even get $80!! Is this norm for new driver? I drive about total about 10 hours (7am - 12pm, 2pm - 8pm). Any advice/tips?
If continue like this, I really must eat grass liao.......![]()
$80 ?
I hope you forgot that 1st day rental should be foc.
Anyway, first few days still gabra is normal.
Wrong route, kena scold, all normal part of learning.
Take it all in stride. Don't let it get you down.
You will settle into a comfortable groove soon enough.
You have to tweak your driving hours a bit to take advantage of the evening peak period fare extras for better income.
Best of luck.
pax face black ? Normal ma to kena left right centre upside down , normal , relax .
But , did u learn at all ? That's the key , kena left right centre and learn ....... this lesson worth a million dollars .
omo nett pay $80 ... a bit less , what to do , green ma .
But always self motivate urself , like tell urself , tmr i will get $90 . Next day challenge urself $100 . See how far ur motivation can push u .
I really dunno how to tell ..... cos i am one who don't encourage go OMO when a green horn .

You earn $80 u are already better than me, i expect to lose money. My first few days probably drive to familarise myself with the major roads. I can get lost in Singapore
. As to whether i take in passenger, i see how things work out as i go along.
Thanks bros! Yes, I'm taking this as positive lesson, have to lah otherwise how to survive? Will take Sunday off day to cruise round the island, esp those ulu ulu places. Yes I will perserve and hopefully make enough to lay food on the table. I'm still trying out different time slots in order to find one that works for me. Then will get relief for the rest of the time. Maybe this may help to reduce some stress. Haha. Anyway, thanks!

Greenhornet, i bet you will like sunday as it is relaxing and mostly you can pick up street hire. Use your sunday to be a good earning day instead of crusing alone just to learn.
You won't be able to learn just by crusing on your own. Totally different.
Sunday most paxs is not the hurry type and so less stressful. Just pick up and learn from paxs then after you go back home to reflect over the Map of that trip.
don't cruise empty lah bro...we r being paid to learn, pax is our best teacher
how u handle situations is the key, like wat pool said must learn from our mistakes
Good luck
