btw, after do and don'ts, is there a moral rule about who will get the customers if both of you on the red light junction, and there is a customer around 50m? given that the taxi on the outside lane, maybe a newer or faster one, will dash to get the customer or must he let go?

I once face the problem like that .....dilemma .
I flag for that Crown ..... but the Sonata cut in .
Both stopped , i walked to the Crown at the back .....
I make sure this Sonata driver learnt something from this .
Just now , i was on my way back to CCK from Brickland Road , one Merc Cab driver , he keep liao , flag for me @ ave 3 before Esso . I was then stopped at CCK Ave 3/4 traffic light .
Walan , one Comfort from Ave 3 opposite , make a quick U-turn , one CityCab Sonata saw , and make a quick left from CCK Ave 4 ....
That Merc Cabby ( i know he wore white shirt and slack , with a talkie ) , never wave for them .
Instead he waited for me to clear traffic lights . And got on board my red Wish .
Hahahahaha , he is a Dynasty Driver ( TransCab Mercedes ) , hahahahahah
hmm, interesting.. cause a few years back, was in those old comfort taxi, and the driver was sharing, they always lose business cause they can't compete with the new taxis and often lose customers.
for me, I try to take the taxi that I flag and not one that suddenly stops infront of me.
i think fair is fair.

I drove Crown tio so many times,I drive graveyard shift, as paxs are rare. All taxi drivers become Seventh month hungry ghosts. me left lane.. centre lane Sonata... Zoom... Still somemore often same company. ZZZzzz

50-50 la , sometime pax ignored the cut in taxis ..took mine .
Some dunno how to think one take that cut-in taxi ...
Don't blame Comfort ...cos they have the highest taxi populations .
And due to the high rental and expenditure , at ulu place , they have to succumb to such technics .
But knn hor ? If got call , u got see they cut in ? They also treat pax transparent , right ?
btw, is there a protocol of how many hours U can drive?
many a times, i do encounter some drivers who dozes off when driving or when taxi waiting @ junction. not sure whether they over-drove?
knn standard 12 hours per shift .....
KNN that chap who doze off played mahjong overnight la ... or play La Bi .
Or play Chor-Tai-Tee at Chew-Song ( funeral ) .....
Standard 6-8 hours sleep enuf la , cannot doze off easily one la while driving .
But hor , some people , any time , anywhere , u give them space , they doze off , damn solid . I cannot .
