I have not taken a lot of taxis, except when I sent my car for servicing or when I take taxis to airports when I need to leave the country for work or leisure.
My experience with Taxis is that I think firstly, passengers are not understanding enough to taxi drivers. To me, driving a taxi is a business of a poor person earning money from another poor person so why make it difficult for the taxi driver. Like for me when I take a taxi from Airport to my place at Simei, my fare would be around $12 or so, I always make sure i pay $15 without any change IF IF IF the taxi driver shows me that he is the service oriented kind. If your face black, and show me gangster attitude, i will get my change right down to the last cent. And to me, that is the downfall of many taxi drivers, trying to be gangster. Whether you like it or not, you are in the service industry not your father's own provision shop business so there is a need to show some service attitudes.
