anw, need some advice!
as my dad currently is driving a crown, comfort. he's been driving with comfort longlong time ago, and after reading lots of stories here, i felt that driving crown is really not worth it.so just wondering if anyone here can give advice? as my dad will be changing car by next year, dont know what model yet. and i've taked wish before, really comfortable and smooth ride. so if anyone here can give advice that wish is really worth to sign up for ? if so, will ask my dad to change to transcab wish.

wish is cng & where do u stay? your dad may have problem getting used to refuelling of cng.
think by next few years tampines & toa payoh will have new stations,all these must consider carefully
other den that there're no reason y your dad won't like the wish
U asked your dad , is he a hardcore " No Call Dunno how to drive " type of cabby ?
If he is , Wish also can , but must adept totally different method or strategy driving .

Comfort drivers are like Pizza Hut despatch rider , u call them , then they deliver to you . Pizza must call , same Comfort , hahahahah .
If your dad is a OMO ..... Wish pay good money to be an OMO , the best in the market , without being tied down by long contracts .
But your dad Super Lao Gui la , no need to tell him what to do , he is damn lao gui ( old devil ) ..... he is maybe better than anyone of us here .

Some people will not just switch taxi company like that ....
Many would want to switch , but the amount of taxi rental they owe Comfort , make it very difficult to switch .... and also switching to other taxi coy , requires new amount of security deposit , some might find it difficult to cope .
Some are hard core , no way u can convince them to switch .
Tell your dad , his next new vehicle still a Crown !!! KNN he will know la , but i heard rumour Sonata still in for another year for Comfort .

If ur dad has got a relief , it is more difficult to switch cos his partner might not want to switch .
Many factor that make your dad do not want to comtemplate a switch .
if he has got a partner .... a relief la , and u all stay @ East side , the forget it , not easy !!!
East side as in Simei , Bedok , Tampines , Eunos , Kembangan , Kaki Bukit , Ubi , Marine Parade , Siglap , East Coast area .....
If they stay at West ......then no need consider , go grap one .
I think Wish has been in the market so long , ur dad has got his reason not joining .

first of all, my dad do take up booking jobs, only on wet weather or no pax around.
usually just roam around streets looking for business. ( i asked him before )
im sure my dad knows whats going on the market, as he have lots of other taxis bro outside. lol ! as for the next vehicle that he will be changing, no news yet. so dont know if its sonata or crown. and my dad likes bigger car, so sonata most probably he wont like, as he is quite tall.

Agree with Bro Pool, Wish has high driver seat, like driving a SUV more comfortable for tall driver. I am about 1.78m tall.

NCB = Non Claim Bonus , $660 i think , no accident in a year u get this money .
if ur dad is a Comfort hirer , he should know what is NCB and Free Rentals , TransCab gave whatever Comfort gave , and reverse , Comfort cannot give what TransCab can give , ie $716 each month .
$716 , if u are not too calculative about CNG and petrol usage , and take it as cash $716 , it is about $76 rental only ....
$100 x 30 = $3000
$3000 - $716 = $2284
$2284 divide by 30 days = $76 .
If Comfort can tell their hirer : " We got call ma , 1 day guaratee 3 calls ."
If one call the revenue is $3 before GST , to get $716 of calls , comfort must give their hirers 238 calls per month , and that is solid peak hour call .
If non peak , $2.50 , revenue $2 , Comfort must give you 358 bookings each month .
We take average , Comfort must give 298 calls per month to their hirer if they want to fulfill that same $716 revenue for cabbies .
Per day , Comfort must swee swee give the drivers concern , 10 bookings each day , everyday .
Which hirers here got 10 calls everyday , smooth smooth ?
And if Comfort did their part ...... swee swee as promised 300 bookings for you , at the end of the month , u need to return them $120 for CabLink Adminstration Fee average @ $0.40 per bookings .

Started at 4.30pm ..... once hit my $180 and above target , by 12am , i should be heading back to my base at CCK .
CNG cost will be maximum , like today i paid $22 CNG for 280km
And filled up about $10 petrol today , usually if i pump twice , i filled about less than $3 petrol , cos i am heading to KTM , never top-up CNG , head straight to KTM by petrol .
Full Tank CNG $22 guarantee amount .
My cost for fuel is about ... take $30 .
So i $180 - $45 rental - $30 fuel = $105 my salary , between 4.30 and 12am .
7.5 hours work .
Friday my target is collection $300 ...... fuel is about ..take $40 .
$300 from 4.30pm to 4pm usually i stopped .
Minus hoon kee , $10.20 cheap Pall Mall Methol Light ..food and kopi at $10 ...beer $4 ..... my take home is roughly about $80 per night .
4 nights is about $320 . Friday income about $200 , Saturday about $100 , Sunday off .
$620 x 4 weeks ....
That is roughly an idle cabby pay is like , yes i damn idle .
Players like ALN , if he work FT , anytime $6000 per month , must be really hungry for success , Hmm hmm Hungry .
Komade also hardworking , anytime he can get $3000 .

Let me tell u this ... whatever luck u can have , $22 per hour average collection is maximum one can get .
Well he start at 6am , ended at 12am ...... $33 per hours consistently ?
Maybe he should say 600km maybe , reasonable . Earning about $400 okay reasonable .
But die very soon to drive 18 hours a day , 365 days .
According to the Singapore Safety Driving Council Officer ( Defensive driving ) when i took my taxi course , 14 hours is the maximum duration a driver can drive continuously , and safely on the road .
Anything above that , is consider a hazard on the road .
Til today , i strongly believe that duration .
Anyway , i drive no way near that 14 hours mark .
