With respect to the topic, what is the rationale for drivers who don't switch on the meter from the instance a passenger gets on the cab till this passenger reaches his/her destination?

When the button is pressed, I always look at the meter before moving off.
I'll make another glance to check if the meter is working after two lamp posts.
These protocol when followed, will help solve the forgetfulness of cabbies.
Another similar problem to this is the, " forgotten to add the ERP "
Usually when the pax is giving you direction nearing to the destination.
Cut a small piece of luminous Bright Yellow paper with word ERP on it.
Placed it directly above the $2.80 fare, hope this will solve your problems.

Comfort is good , cos once pressed meter , voice prompt will say : " Please put on seat belt . "
If no voice prompt , means meter not pressed lor ....
if drive comfort still can forget , that driver must be Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... hahahahah

Anyway , taxi meter does not allowed you to manual key-in ERP charge .
there is no ERP button on K2 .

i just get on cab and bo destination, then fasten seatbelt, them either 看风景 or sms or play with netbook
i think only once or twice the cabby himself realised when he was halfway into the journey....
at the end he gave a rough price.... i feel it's ok so i pay.....

drp stand for Drop Off Point ..... no ERP .
Drop off point surcharge like IBM Tower @ Anson Road .
