Hi it has been quite a long time I keep in touch liao. Busy cruising, making a living, n busy making up 4 loss of time n $ when I was jobless (retrenched). Now, coffee break with daughter, sending her to smu later. Well, after driving for almost 2 mths, I'm quite used to routine. I drive 7am to 9pm OMO (1 hr lunch break, half hr coffee break, in between puff-puff breaks, haha). Average each day after deducting overheads, abt $130 (+/-). Is this considered ok? Now my only concern is fr next yr, must try to make more to put aside as yr end bonus.
I've been following closely to all ur postings n hv benefited quite much. Tks to ppl like Poolman, Teo, Aln etc. I'm still greenhorn but always the enthusiastic learner (despite my age, lol). So pls keep all these impt info coming bros! Once again thanks, take care and huat ah......

chief, $130 is what i get on a good day from 6.30am-4.00pm. (wif 1hr. break, 8-8.5hrs driving). in a few months, you should nett about $200 daily without breaking a sweat. learning curve flat after 6 months. from then on it's your own strategy. my friend drives omo from 6.30am-8.00pm. ave. collection $350 so nett is about $200. from 8pm-5am, he lets out at $20. sunday whole day let out. i'd guess he netts about 4k monthly. more than 15 years liao.

As in $130 + Diesel about say $40 + rental crown $90 , total up $260 collection .....
Compare to me , hey , u are so much better , hahahahah
I that time OMO , started 7.30am , stop 12pm , second half 4pm start , end 10.30pm , collected only maximum $245 my target .
But that time peak hour $1 ....
distance also longer then jump $0.10 .
waiting also longer ....
So more or less , same kind of income la .

But again , u are 14 hours on the road ...
usually per hour must earn at least $22 .....
minus of lunch and dinner break , 13 hours , i expect u to excel at $286 minimum .
Buck up .
$260 a little bit below the expectation .
Ok my tips , everyday buck up $5 extra ... u will get the $286 .

me start only at 8.30am end 8pm
morning peak hr very important esp between 815-9.30am,i always ask pax b4 taking them.cos the performance of my morning peak will affect my whole day mood
cos that time got demand so go ahead and ask,go town?no no no sorry i change shift
pick only those desination like jurong west,bt batok,cck,woodlands,yishun,pasir ris,housing estate type best
cos easily get connection aft that trip.
after peak hr (9.30 - 10.30am) all those places super good,no taxis but lots of pax.
morning peak is almost opposite as evening,go into town die

the target i gave myself,from 0830-1330 die die must cover rental & whole day fuel of say $140
then 1330 go coffeeshop for lunch,drink kopi & read newspaper
1430 - 1630 time frame everywhere got pax esp town.this time frame i very relax driving.just pick & go
come 1630 i put sign "change shift chinatown"
by 1655 already in town get ready for my 1st peak hr pax
from 1700-2000 normally can get $70-$110
2000hrs go home nett $120-$200 depending on days

i donno abt u,but i felt morning 7-8am is a waste of time,everywhere taxis but little pax
6-7am is gd but come school holiday this time frame die for sure
that's y i only start 830am,the moment at car park start engine,u can see pax walking over to your taxi lol

wow teo, u also "position" yourself for the evening peak... hahaha.... reminds me of my saturday nite shift.... saturday got more choices to "position" e.g. if far west, birdpark...if far north, zoo.... if far east, airport.... but town still best cos guarantee wont cock up... so saturday where you position for evening peak? haha
