Bartley Road East viaduct to open in Jan '10

  if link from BKE to upp thomson is built, evening PIE to BKE, and PIE to lornie will be eased substantially.... alternative is expand PIE to BKE viaduct to 3 lanes... and PIE to lornie viaduct to 2 full lanes.... basically too many cars on SG road.... should keep COE growth at minus 1%.... hahaha

  i remember morning lornie rd always jam with or without flyover… cos many north pple avoid CTE and use lornie to connect either to PIE to tuas or Bt Timah/farrer to city….

  from braddell > lornie got two lane then merge become one lane to join the 3-lane traffic from upper thomson road... that's where the bottleneck is..

  today kena call from pasir ris st 51 to NTU

  I took the viaduct & pax was surprised how smooth it took.

  expected,lornie rd jammed up upon entering pie jurong

  but the rest ok...$25.80 total fare exclude the $3.50

   

  if without the jam,this viaduct really rocks! thumbs up

  i took the viaduct from ave 10 at about 0654, enter PIE at lornie 0708. slowdown contributed by parents sending their children to school at maris stella high. 3 lanes, only one lane passable.
  
  reach NTU carpark by 0730.

  Yeah lah! this afternoon around 1.30 pm, I also got stuck at the viaduct for about 15 mins up to the juction of serangoon ave 1.

  LTA/Police must do something about it otherwise after spending so much $ still caused traffic jam.
