Should we charge City Area Surcharge from Ion Orchard

Just wandering if any taxi old bird here knows weather we should charge City Area Surcharge for trips starting from Ion Orchard.
Cos I just got a trip from there today.

No. Ion Orchard taxi stand is outside CBD.

Legally Ion Ochard is outside CBD , by right cannot .
But by left ......
, if u dare .Taxi drivers can do anything , but don't get caught , pants will drop .

you will always see ion taxi stand long queue of pax during $3 period...why?
if can charge $3,it will become the other way round

p3742, these tricky places also cannot charge pls take note:
1) Marriot hotel
2) Goodwood park hotel
3) Railway station
4) Fuji xerox bldg (Anson rd taxi stand)
5) rd along clemenceu after haw par bldg taxi stand
6) UE square
7) Supreme hotel at Kramat rd (tis 1 can hiong lah if tourist)

I'm sorry but I have to correct u guys, Ion Orchard Building actually falls inside City Area.
According to the latest street directory (Mighty Minds 2010 edition), Ion Orchard Building is drawn in as part of city area. Its taxi stand is inside the building itself.

mr p , the gantry is the way we see whether it's inside cbd or outside cbd .
U go in from Orchard Boulevard into the taxi stand , which u did not pay any ERP , so as in outside CBD .

The landmark is the gantry .
Wisma Atria ..... why inside CBD ? Next door of Ion ?
