  Hi All Seniors

  As a newbie and hirer, i got  doubts in the following questions below..... 

  Who's going to foot the .........

  1. Road Tax

  2. Radio license 

  3. Tyre

  4. Season Parking 

  5. Vechile Servicing

  Any more things that i miss out?

  carpark - hirer pay while some hirer dont buy... radio tax - not sure... the rest all taxi company pay.... pls dun ask whether washing or fuel who pay hor.... hahaha

  Road tax ? In diesel taxis , we called it diesel taxes , u pay rental , all included inside . Insurance also .

  Radio license ? By right , when renew road tax or diesel tax , u must pay , but knn when i hirer , by left i act blur one . Act blur and save $27 ? Then why not act more blur ?

  Tyre ? This one Taxi companies will act blur , u must ask to change if u think botak liao , they sometime act blur one . They must change for you . If they dun change , u said : " If i skid , u responsible for the accident ? what's your name ? I feedback . "

  If tyre punctured or burst , hirers must pay for the damage if it's still new . If need to mend , $5 only . If burst , new but cannot be use anymore , u will compensate it .  

  Season parking ? If u need season parking , u must buy la , if Multi Storey $90 fee , try to save by putting Night Coupons . If Open car park $65 , just buy .

  Season parking if got relief , can save money use night coupon , if OMO , better to buy .

  Vehicle Servicing , those brakes , those wipers , those engine oil change , all done by taxi coy la .

  Radio must be instal by hirer la . No need permission .

  That's all .

  Taxi companies to get them to mend tyre , must long Q , and expensive , go any tyre shop , mend $5 , and no Q . Chop chop and go .

  So go private tyre shops . Unless must change new .

  is there any maps that boundary the area?

  mighty minds street directory. shows both orchard & cbd cordon. study 10mins & you'll see the pattern. no need to remember. lta website oso got info.

  Aiyo friend , when i started driving a cab .... i no money buy what mighty directory nor what PC , what internet .

  I just used the money top-up my cash card thick thick , $20 . Hahahaha not really thick .

  Then for a start , take whoever who flag for you , then for whatever reason , will have passenger sent you into CBD .

  Then if deduct money from your cash card , Ti one time from machine  , CBD !!!

  Unless ur brain is not sponge , cannot absorb , then nothing to say , write it down .

  If sponge like , absorb every details  then sooner or later , u'll know those places .

  Anyway , i bet u'll still dunno where the fuck is those gantries , before u actually drive a cab .

  Like what price of ERP , dun say a single thing , u'll only find yourself cannot answer pax's question . If dunno , mai kay kiang , kiang enough .

  Just whack into CBD , they pay , u fuck off .

  Be a smart driver la , intelligent later than say , smart first .

  if it automatic deduct from the cash card once enter the CBD than no worry, but manual press the meter,problem dont know got to press how many times. heheheee

  one think confuse me is, why all the CBD Surcharge and Airport Surcharge cannot auto deduct by cash card. correct me if I'm wrong.

  one think confuse me is, why all the CBD Surcharge and Airport Surcharge cannot auto deduct by cash card. correct me if I'm wrong.

   what cbd & Airport surcharge deduct by cash card ? Yo , dun confuse too much la , u make people more confusing only .

  We surcharge customer leh bro ...... nothing to do with Cash Card deduction .

  When inside CBD , just charge $3 ....

  When take pax from ap , just press $3 and $5 respectively .

  hello , when to press surcharge ?

  My style , after i pressed meter , chop chop .

  Before move off .

  Some cabbies reaching destination then press , up to individual .

  Let's say u are customer , u prefer to see surcharge first or reaching then see ?

  That is your answer .

  The main problem is not whether u know how or when to press for surcharge , is whether is it appropriate to press the surcharge ?

  Right place to press ?

  This one must learn , dunno must call for SOS .

  cbd area got $3 muz learn at the tip of ur fingers cause sometimes

  can add up to quite alot sometimes 1nite i can hav 10-12

  cbd $3 surcharges add up more than $30 extra earnings for

  u liao ;)

  if i bring pax out off CBD during peak hrs, pax only pay CBD?

  read this on taxis.sgforums by one senior here....

  If u drive past ERP gantry with pax and the IU beeps, that pax pay the ERP charge. if no pax, u pay.

  When pax take ur taxi within CBD between 5-11.59pm (Mon-Sat), u can press $3 city surcharge.

  Let say the pax board ur taxi at Hitachi Tower taxi stop on a Monday at 6pm, and go to Suntec City, u will kena a ERP gantry outside Fullerton Hotel.

  So this trip, total = meter fare + 35% peak hour surcharge + $3 city surcharge + ERP charge.

  No commuter go in one , only taxi drivers , but many people said that forum infested with taxi drivers , so we moved out .
