Just asking, if an 18 yr old poly student has a driving license already, and wishes to drive taxi part time for say...2 months, is it feasible?
There must be a reason why no poly students has tried this before. Is it because new drivers won't survive, or is it because there has to be taxi exams or whatsoever?
Thx for enlightening me.
Cheers

Oh sorry. I didnt mean to snatch rice bowl or what. just wanna earn pocket money fast fast. So far selling laptops at IT show is the fastest, but $100/day is kinda little.
Sorry Sorry guys
Cheers
granslime, no need to sorry. it's okay to know. that's why the gov try to discourage young men to drive taxi and go get a proper job and contribute to society in many ways.

100 bucks per day is too little?
My full time job doesnt even pay that much.![]()
When i was a Comfort driver , once i got a booking at Marina Boulevard , NTUC Building , an Australian ? Or Canadian ? I forgotten , anyway ....
He was employed by Singapore Workforce Agency WFA .
To do a research on how to increase the working and employement rate , against the influx of foreigners in Singapore . and retrenchments .
One of his research : How to stop youngster of 30+ yrs old from driving a cab ?
This shows that the Garmen are quietly concern about this issue , younger chaps driving a cab like me at 30years almost 10 years ago .
And the trend is climbing .
And how i analyse ..... those fare hike , is one of the ways to deter younger people from joining the trade . They make it a bit hard to tan jiak , so ......
Also WFA wanted Singaporeans to polish up the existing skills . And we saw that .
Driving a Comfort Cab can really sometime learn a lot . Cos of those bookings from Professionals .
If Comfort drivers don't take advantage and learn from it , wasted sia .
I learnt alot during my 8 years at Comfort sia i think .

$30 basic pay. Then each laptop commision around $10 lo. Just sell as hard as u can, say 8 laptops a day and $100 per day is can de. It does sounds a lot, but IT shows lasts 4 days max. Is like, after 4 days must find another part time, not easy la.
cheers

but $10 for selling a laptop?... wa.. the owners keep most for themselves hor…. i thought $50 more fair mah… no?
wonder how much commission sell one 2K LCD…. $100?
Actually, if the laptop sold is above $1k, commision $20. But most people buy $999 de laptop at It shows, so commision only $10 =x
I never sold lcd before, so i not sure. Recommend you to work at this coming IT show selling laptops. Gonna have loads of poly students-to-be buying laptops, esp the girls, always go for pink vaio. ^^ economy recovering, more people buying laptops, $200 per day is very possible.
