I've been with them for 1 year since day 1. No complain for me.
Maybe I'm easy going.
Just be at peace with yourself & have a positive mentality when on the road.
Sometimes, I don't understand why some TD must curse & swear for minor things on the road. For me I always tell myself to give & take. We are on the road for 10 hours or more every day. Why spoilt our mood for minor things.
There are others who always complain about their company this & that. If we pay our rental on time, no accident, payment swee swee then taxi co will also pay us our incentives swee swee right?
I only drive for 1 year with only 1 company with no accident record, ok lah, only 1 lah. This joker was trying to make an illegal U turn on the outer lane & hit me on the front left. He admitted fault & clalim was settle by SMRT, i think, within 3 months.
Maybe many experience bros here have more interesting story to share.
i just started driving today with smrt . so i dont have comments yet. but i dont see any booking job at all today only send me message on lost and found etc lol. but seriously driving taxi is abit lost at times.

$800 1 week i also feel not enough...can i just drive ard kang chia here kang chia there, bring girlfriend go jia hong then say no pple want take my taxi so no income??? like that good le, do nothing 1 mth $800.

Last time I heard is $1000 salary a month but you must take in $3000/- earning for them. Anything more than $3000 then you share the profits.

Depending where you are. Many calls in the am if you are around Bt Timah area.
But always from the same places. How do I know?

If pax calls operator, then got destination. But automated calls no destination.

I had 1 incident in Tanjong Rhu.
This cheapo lady thought she can save on other cab.
Saw my prestige refused to flag then a azera came by & she flagged.
I was laughing at her when she board cos she will realised it's the same flag down as mine. Haha!

Let me share my personal opinion on smrt.
Basically the limitation on type of vehicle is an issue. Manual pretty standard, crown and cedric. Auto you guys know, the "Only SMRT Have" type of vehicles, ssangyong, chrysler, azera (CNG) with 180km tank, market standard mercs and Hyundai Starex. So definite no no auto for any newbie starting out cos expenses high and hard to get relief at all.
Rental wise, too many scheme too choose and with many hidden benefits. Same model of taxi can have 2-3 different schemes and benefits. Guess that the reason why nobody can list out the price and benefits.
Customer service wise, so far comparable to comfort.
Amenities wise, as in driver lounge, so far the best among taxi companies. Free cappucino, green tea, sleeping lounge (so you can forgot waiting time), TV and DVD shows while waiting for vehicle. Previously they still got massage chair somemore.
Call booking, they upgraded most to the lastest MDT, quiet the same as comfort. But of cos the numbers of call cannot be compared. But I see an increase in the numbers of call coming in everyday. Call booking no "must take" policy like comfort. you want you book, you can also set your mdt to busy so u dun take booking
Diesel, SMRT only have 3 refilling station, woodland, AMK industrial park, geylang (former bus terminal). Only Geylang is 24 hours, the rest is from 7am-7pm. So night shift driver usually have to go SPC (current 18% discount) for diesel.
Next come the most important reason why one should not join SMRT. Workshop!!! The biggest problem in SMRT. Preventive maintenance still acceptable, But when you run into Corrective maintenance be prepare to wait 3-4 hours for the repair. Sometimes it took so long they will ask you to go home first and come back later. U are lucky if solve the problem in the 1st CM, but usually I have to come back 2-3 times for the repeat job. Problem not solve at all. Even registering the CM can take 1-1.5 hours. What they pay you downtime, what you loss-3-5 hours of income.
I guess the problem exist cos all workshop staff are direct workers, unlike comfort where their maintenance are mostly tendered out. Comfort repairman are made accountable for any repetitive jobs, whereas SMRT repairman attitude is " This time cannot, come back next time".
My relief got his rear bumper kissed recently, my bumper + frame slight dent (so slight you can even notice). It took the 4 days to repair. i loss 4 days of income.
To summarize; SMRT forever dun know what a TD really want. What a TD want is just to make $$$, isn't it. Yet they failed to realise it and the importance of vehicle downtime = loss of income and also implementing the right types of vehicle that can make $$$.
To join or not to join are personal opinions and needs. Above is my opinion and may not represent another person view. But it is true hard facts that i am experiencing now. I had enough and throwing my key when my wish is ready early may.
