how would a slight raise of $10-15 (per shift) affect you?
$10-$15 per shift is not slight. It is A LOT!!!!!!!
cb rental goes up i think alot td will run road...
who prepare to up rental , must prepare to see some drivers go .
I am so sure TransCab will not raise anything .
Only Comfort always is thinking of doing things like that .
U think SMRT , Smart , Silver and Prime will raise ?
i think if raise all run, cdg can la because of his booking rates.
I dont mind rental going up as long as the starting fare also goes up proportionally. Eg u up my rent $10, then the starting fare must also up at least $0.50.
If they think it is OK to overcharge cabbies, they must also allow us cabbies to charge whatever fares we feel is appropriate based on our taxi experience.

wah expert siah. caught the 'secret co-relation' very fast!
no taxi unions to safeguard cabby interests? that's crap man. They earn $3000 a month from rentals. Within a year they more than cover the cost price of the taxi. And every taxi can run for at least 5 years.
Suckers.
rockstar , for once , i agree with you 101% .
Thanks for this explosive comments . We love it .
pardon my ignorance, if up rental then how about those in contract ones? thought we took up contract if break must pay so call penalty, but they can up rental as they like meh?
their plan is to make all the drivers give up being hirers and become employees...............once majority of drivers become employees.............number of taxis will go down.............
more people will drive a taxi as long as PAP stil rules , and their policies unchanged .
As long as their MOM and employement policies remains , such as letting some jobs goes to FT , more locals will hop into our trade .
I welcome that , unless u have a $300,000 mortage loans new flats , taxi really really cannot help you .
U will be just a slave for the flats .
Be employed and get the employers to pay partially your mortage loans .
if base on the pace of people signing up taxi driving , it'll take a bit of time for the Governments to intervene .
It's ok , rental up $10 , $20 ho bo ?
I just whack one more trip in town .
Just when rush period , ask around in CBD : " Huh , go where ? "
3 time " go where " can liao .
$10 just 15 to 25 minutes jobs .
Dun underestimate what a taxi driver can do with those magics ..... without a single complaints .
Cannot be any wrong .
i hate to break the golden egg but if anyone look carefully at the t&cs, its 'implied' that no agreement is completely exclusive. meaning applicable changes will still be er..applicable.
Read from last night paper prime up rental by $2-$3 per day....
What i don't understand is the COE price up for future taxi why would they increase the price of the old taxi???
Originally posted by ALN:if under contract rental cant change… no up, no down…
anyway under contract taxi means coe is based on last time fixed liao… not affected by new coe mah…
e.g. prime fit $62 means $62 for 5 years…
Transcab did better in this, they up down their benefits, not rental. Benefit not fix one, nobody can argue.

FT, confirmed?
U check up wang bao on 14/04 its say prime taxi up about $3...from some $87, $86 and $75...
wah seems like some move fast, apparently things are heading the direction that i heard
My views is , old rental remains .
If u sign up for a new taxi , the new rental will kicks in .
