Even if they have the CHEAPEST RENT (Terms and Conditions apply hor!)
no shit..
i still remember the old Coronas.. even with 2 people inside already quite cramped..
have to agree. That 1.3L Jap compact is too small. The rental is the same as market rate for private cars. I think it is suitable only for idle cabbies who do not want to chiong. The kind who happy with less than hundred dollars profit. Certain paxs are excluded from this cab. Like if kena 2 pax with many big luggages.
big size fellows. struggle.
up long slopes. struggle.
anyone with friends and luggages. struggle.
golf bag. even just 1 set.cannot. dont think wheelchair can fit.
try to get power to kick in when fully loaded. cannot.
no accept cards.
no booking. (might be a good thing, else both driver AND passengerSSS also surprised..need to call a 2nd cab ha!)
no diesel subsidies.
no cng subsidies.
but 2 biggest problems to earning that hundred are road sweep also have to open eyes big big careful to be selective and if driver decided enough is enough, hes kanna stuck for 5yrs.
Don't talk bad about ALN prime fit..hahaha....his dream retired taxi to drive..

U are micasa pool, ALN devonshire and got a millionair XX...next time call me FT cove...:p
i can confirm the top speed of a fully loaded XYZ. 1+4+some stuff. 75 kmph MAX. cannot squeeze 1 kmph more liao. and thats on straight level road. cannot imagine if slope. even gentle slope.
Taxis need to be optimized around typical passenger loads and most economical engine capacity. I would say the 2L engine is ideal for the most common max load of 4 pax (or 2 pax with big luggages) and max fuel economy without sacrificing on engine power.
The 1.3L engine is optimized for average 3 pax street hires, and airport hires of max 2 pax with one big luggage. In other words, slightly smaller pax loads.
I really dont think this combination is going to be a good idea unless the cabby spends most of the time sweeping roads and at taxi queues. In other words, I think the Fit is good for idle cabbies.

yeah, thats why i put a question mark about hitting the first hundred on that guy. somemore have to tahan 5yrs outright even before answering that question mark.
thats assuming the 1.3 pick up every 'right size' passenger with the 'right size' package, going on the 'right size' road...which isnt realistic
i believe the lower rent reflect the lower expectation. so the ultimate question hangs over how durable the 1.3 really is over 5yrs. and how reliable is its servicing party :)

ok let’s say 5 trip is 4 paxs or more… but out of the 5 trips, at least 3 is from clark quary or town type… meaning those who can easily reject and pick next pax type…
u got different experience?
ya what u said is very true too.
We need someone to try out the Fit and then tell us whether it is worth risking a $5K deposit.
