I hv been driving as a hirer for almost a year. driving everyday...weekdays or weekends with no rest.
I am wondering if its better to drive a smart's toyota crown instead. I can choose to drive for 6 days from 6am to 5pm monday to saturdays and rest on sundays and all weeknights.
the difference is 1) rental is $47 with a one time payment for insurance of $80.
2)$2000 if an accident is involved.
3)no need to buy season parking ticket.
4)diesel would be from caltex with discount for cabbies. diesel costs would be higher than comfort or transcab.
my question is if its able to make at least $2100 per month just driving 6 days a week? with all the differences mentioned above. thanks
The rate u mention hummmm.......u renting daily from agent?
Anyway, I guess u are experienced driver. Daily rent only $48 sure can earn like siao one. Even with $100 per day. 6days X $100 X 4 weeks = $2400. But I am sure u can do even better than that.
Yah it is very possible u can earn at least $2100.
my 0.02
the 6-5 timing can be quite siong but least its better than 24/7/52
the diesel indeed wont be cheaper
finally its a manual crown which means it can be tiring. and not only that, from what i know, there are question marks about THAT certain company servicing party
naturally everyone would think the main appeal is the rent. but to me, an impt (deciding?) factor would be the condition of that vehicle to begin with. i would ask myself what would they offer for just 47 and no parking. just like for the other 1.3cc (ahem!), i ask what would they offer for just 62, no diesel, no cng. theres always a reason. always.
to me, if its too good to be true, then its likely too good to be true. but then thats just me lar :P
