Hi Bros,
During my 2 yrs with Citycab, there were a few "near-misses" tat I almost drove into a flood. Recently many areas in S'pore were flooded.
1) Wat happens if we drove into a flood n the engine is stalled? The engine nids 2 b overhaul, rite? It will costs a few K? If the flood carry our taxi away n wat if it hits other vehicles or structures, we pay?
2) If our taxi got hit by tree branches during heavy rain or even on normal day if a tree branch dropped onto the taxi when we parked at a open carpark for makan etc, who pays?
Under wat circumstances then our companies wil pay for us? Only when we have pax on board? Or we have 2 pay ourselves cos insurance companies classified them under "Acts of God"?
U jolly well asked the full details in black and white from your taxi company .
Just in case if it really hit you , u make sure u are fully shield against any claims .
Taxi companies are famous to twist their words around even with black and white , so if it really went to Court , that simple black & white can protect you .
