Poolman , If we put up "changing shift - CCK" at roof and Q in taxi stand, is this illegal?
I heard comfort say PTC going to approve soon ?

Now without approving , already flooded with Changing Shift when rush period , if approve liao , more drivers will abuse it , and u will see all Roof Top will be Changing Shift Redhill than TAXI .

i do not believe they will approve this as i can tell u 75% of the taxis will put change shift at 10 pm.
I thought PTC only involves in "fare" matter only.
Rules and regulations should be under LTA, right?

Hi all, I was the one posted this question to Pool.
currently, CDG only allow one to switch to changing shift once in a day. Once you change, it cannot reverse. even you tried to log out and log in back, it will remain as changing shift at roof.
How abt the rest? Anyone notice?
It was revealed by CDG when I attended the premere cse in Jun. Probably they have to let the public know that "only change shift at that respective locality is allowed". Eg: A 'Change shift at CCK' cab Q at lot 1.
If you put 'change shift at CCK' and you Q at AMK MRT is wrong.
As they say, it is to allow the cabby to have more chances of picking short distance pax during changing shift hour!
This changing shift thing is in a Grey zone.
(rumoured to be this, to be that)... nothing is confirmed yet.
Changing Shift
by current practise, you can't have Changing Shift to going into taixs stands (especially at Suntec area). Enforcement teams from various companies conducts exercises regularly.
PTC is unhappy that cabbies like to choose destinations, hence did some joint exercises with various taxi companies, TOA and even LTA.
Choosing Pax ( a serious offence )
(below mentioned had happened to 2 limo drivers)
If your cab is on available for hire (but failed to drive into Taxi-stand with Pax-Q-ing, you can be penalised as well. Enforcement officers taking photograghs as evidence. After that, you will be invited to go down LTA for a cup of coffee...
With the photographs and they will also ask the respective company to print out your meter-run for that particular hour as evidence - before giving you a hefty fine and/or suspension.

CDG changing shift Log-off & Log-in, no issue at all, (probably 30 sec indeed).
SMRT - no need to log-off and in, can change destinations whenever you like.

Must be at like Shenton Way Change Shift @ like 4pm , so no need empty go back base knn , where's their logic ?
Everyone of us know 4.30pm to 4.55pm town always got problem knn ... dun know they doing what ?
