I just passed my test last Friday, now waiting for the license. I need some advice.
I am having a full time job, but due to big time debts, I intend to drive taxi full time night.
I am seriously thinking of getting Prime fit due to its low rental. I can start driving by 6 pm and end maybe around 11 pm on Mon-Thurs. Hope to cover rental and petrol with a bit of earnings on weekdays and go all out on weekends.
I am having a hard time in paying my house bills and have been dependent on my wife to pay for these bills. Hope by driving taxi, I can start paying my house bills and not burden my wife.

Why do you want to get Prime's FIT when you can be a normal relief with low rental and diesel or cng?
If you really want to have $$$ to pay your bill then you really consider other options besides Prime.

bad idea. when u are in debt , you dont go into deeper debt by having to dig your pocket for $5000 to pay the deposit . furthermore the contract is for 5 years. long long time.
and 6 pm to 11 pm seriously... i think at most u can earn $10 or $20 after deductiing the $60 over bucks rental + petrol ?? . its probably the worse option i have seen so far.
u need to drive longer hrs to make $ in TD... 4 hrs is just too short. even as a relief also cannot make it.

I looked at my CDG portal and i saw some hirers wanting sat and sun drivers. if u are staying Bt batok , bt panjang and cck area , i can look out for you.
I am staying in Bedok Reservoir View. I have asked a few uncles there but cannot get them to agree for Friday and Saturday nights. Dats y I tot I become hirer with Prime and no need to bargain or satisfy with any hirers. I will be driving my own taxi, own time, own target.
ok as u wish but i still think its not a good idea to be a hirer and have a ft job. anyway prime taxis u can ask Insg bro . he is driving a Prius hybrid.

Sincerely, do your research carefully before committing on a long contract. As you mentioned, you're in debt now. Do you have the spare money ($3,000 at least) to hand over to Prime? Secondly, although low rental, Fit runs on petrol. So, higher cost where fuel is concerned. Thirdly, I seem to read in the forum that Prime do not allow relief for their vehicles. (Maybe I read wrongly, but that's the impression I get.) So, if you are only driving at night, then what happens to the other hours? Park vehicle in carpark? Then, wouldn't it seems like you paying rental for vehicle to park in carpark most of the time?
Anyway, you know why you can't get only Friday and Saturday nights ony? These 2 nights are supposedly easier to earn money than the rest of the week. So, what you think?
My suggestion is since you're in debt (me too), avoid huge outgoing cash, avoid commitment to long contracts, maximize your income. One such example is I read in the forum... Lot's of taxi drivers take off on Sundays or at least drive on Sundays only to cover rental. Hence, if you offer to drive full day for Sunday, market rate is about $20 lower than regular rental. Lower rental + cheaper diesel.

My intention is to drive taxi to work and park at Sembawang Park (free parking), as I work near there. After work I will start driving at 6 - 11 pm. I should be able to cover rental and petrol with 5 hrs of driving.On weekend nights, I will chiong so as to get more income.
I have made my calculations. I will be able to earn more this way, rather than driving on Sundays only.
Anybody drive a Prime Fit here? Are there any customers who reject boarding a Fit because of its small size?

I suggest u be a relief like Aln drive 2-3nites including a fri or sat plus 2 nites of Mon-thur,like that easier to find
Prime Fit not really cheap,now going at $68.90/day
so plus petrol maybe $25 your total cost $93.90!
how to cover & earn from 6pm - 11pm? taking into consideration u have been working the whole day already,very tiring bro
experience driver normally do +-$200 from 5pm - 12mn
