Imagine STOMPer Megan’s frustration this morning when all three Comfort cabs she called failed to turn up. The STOMPer called the cabs due to the heavy rain, and ended up waiting nearly 45 minutes in total for the three cabs that never showed up.
Megan made it to work by getting a lift from her colleague.
“It was raining heavily this morning so I called for a cab and received a confirmation.
"I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes.
“I was running late for work so I called for another one and also got a confirmation message.
"This one also failed to show up after 15 minutes.
“I tried my luck one more time and again got a confirmation for a third cab.
“I waited for 10 minutes, and ended up getting ride from my colleague instead.
“Comfort drivers, you could have at least called to say you're not coming!”
Was on yesterday's Wanbao .....
There was a few times when i confirm a call and went to pick pax up. Then they board the taxi...
but how do i confirm whether are they really the one or they just any how humtum and willing to pay the extra $2.50 even though they may not be the caller?
Got a few times i kena this from sentosa. How to verify? Call their HP?
you can lodge a complain against the taxi driver if you remember the car plate number..
cabbies like to complain about passengers not waiting or cancelling the booking but they also like to do similar stunts to them..haha...
i always book cab, and the taxi driver only verify my name..so easy for pp to just hope up the cab you booked!

I believe technical problem .
System crashed due to very high demand .
When i was a comfort driver , one call can have 2 taxis attending to the same job .

Not every time is the TD's fault you know? Do you know pax also hi-jack taxis?!
Don't think the TDs played that pax out, but more like got hi-jacked by other pax claiming to be her... These situations always happen when calls burst, like on rainny days esp. during rush hr...
So, always good to leave names and destination when booking a cab, so no hi-jackers can get in the way! (Oops! Too bad for those Taxi Co. that not able to do that...)
I even encounter a shameless pax just rushed onto my cab and claim that she's the one who booked my cab but wanted to change destination but her mobile and name dosen't tally with the booking system at all, so I told her my booking is $45 airport transfer, then she LL got off and let the real pax board my cab...
Now Iphone booking very popular , sms booking also ..... no names one la , only telephone numbers .
And no destinations .

So to all commuters , use your brain when make a booking .
When raining cats and dogs , why bother to wait for a cab by the road side ?
And when desperate , then call-a-cab .
And when saw another cab , hop in and never cancell .
And when taxis never turn up , put all the blames on cabbies ?
A clever commuter , when raining cats & dogs , should start to dial for a cab from home , not by the road side .
A clever commuter , when raining cats & dogs , must have Plan B options .
Working in Jurong Island , should try Prime instead .
Working at CBD , u can try calling Beach Road or Lake View instead .
Because normal non-corporate CDG customers , u will lose out to Corporate customers of CDG , they are always on Priorities , cab-charge holders have a special hotline , and this hotline is prioritised for their own Corporate paxes .
If u have a network of corporate paxes , will you take care of them , or any ah pig ah cat paxes ?
Of course Corporate paxes .

I would think more paxs have no show than cabby no show.
As for Megan's case, I think it's likely CDG's MDT fault.
So for goodness sake, STOP always thinking about complaining about taxi drivers.

For SMRT MDT, we'll have at least a name & mobile no.
I always verify when pax board, but it's only picking pax when the town is hot.
