Message from my ah lau.
LTA informed that the taxi stand at ICA Building along Kallang Road will be converted to a taxi stop with effect from 31 Aug 2010.
Please be reminded not to queue and wait for passengers at a taxi stop. The relevant authority will step up enforcement action.

what's the difference between a taxi stop and taxi stand?
anyway, the place is always full of taxis lining up and blocking traffic

I think taxi stand = can wait for passenger
taxi stop = for alighting passenger only... no pickup...

Stand, can wait for pax.
Stop, alighting and no waiting but can pick pax.
Both of us can be cabby liao.

but today i go ICA collect passport, still see many taxi waiting there for passengers leh......

must be cos of e full day bus lane.
so now no more waiting.

Kallang Road > Victoria St ? Where got time ?
Day shift la , cabbies created all this , ICA partialy created all this .
Everyday u can see long long Q all day , cos fast ma .
One of the day's fastest stand . Everyday got so many people go take passport and make NRIC , especially those FT .
Then ICA also one kind , created a taxi stand there ............

ya ! it's those no brainer TD faults. Can Q until outside onto fullday buslane like yao-qui. FT bus driver sure complaint. Pax there also go nearby one, gateway,rochor, golden mile. phui not my cup of tea
