As long as I have change in hand, I don't mind $50 notes.

ps. will share more whenn i’m back on the keyboard.
I met one middle age Singaporeans also, gave me $100 notes and still say I lucky already, coz her next notes is $1000...
i kena before, one morning at 9am+
as soon as my butt land on the seat, uncle ask me, "are u paying with $50? i just 出车, haben go change"
i was thinking, i look rich or wat..............
heng comfort cabs at least can use nets if everyone no small change
just one qn, I kanna b4, i go up taxi, told uncle i paying with $50, he told he doesn't have.
later when near destination (great world city), he turns into nearby coffeeshop, go and change, and all the while meter running, which I think is slightly unfair.
but i also kanna one, go to petrol ksiok to change, but pause meter. I think this one got integrity, ask uncle to keep the change.
smalll thingy, but better to be transparent to avoid any unpleasantiness.
Yesterday, I paid $50 for a small fare of $6.80 even though I have $10s and $2s in my wallet. Why? Cause I buay song the driver. Got expressway, don't take. Never mind, maybe he not sure of the area (but then, it's Geylang. Who can be not familiar with Geylang??). Then, throughout the journey (by the way, I'm going from Sims Ave to Bedok Central), he keep insisting on following behind a Hiace which is moving slowly despite the fact that both lanes beside us are relatively light in traffic and he could have just switch lane and overtake the Hiace. Why he do this, I don't know. Probably hoping to get stuck at traffic light and earn a further $0.20 or $0.40.
Knn... I'm already late for my taking over of vehicle and now kenna this... So, I chose to pay with $50 (down to the exact cent) when my normal practice is to round up to the nearest $ and pay with small notes. :(
(By the way, yesterday also another 干 day! Most of my trips before 11pm are short shuttle service types that only gives $4 - $7. Maybe must learn to start ignoring street pax liao...)
Wah lao eh... Even since the TS started this thread 4 days back, Every night for the past 4 nights , I kena all $50 notes for the first few pax... Sway mann!
Ends up keep going to coffee shops and petrol kiosks to change money...
I start my day with at least 20 pieces of $10. So far, highest record is 5 pieces of $50 over the entire night. Never have to go change notes yet....

My worst is 2 times $100 notes on same night.
So far in so many months I drive, only on two nights I got $100. Very seldom pax pays with $100.
But that particular night I got $100 twice. Lucky the first one I received I immediately spend on $2 MacDonald chicken burger, so when the second one came I have change for it. :) (Actually I bought the burger just to break the $100 note). The next day I quickly bought 4D on the two $100 notes serial number, but never strike. Haiz :(
Here is the story about the PRC couple paying with $1,000 note.
I took this couple from a hotel in town going to Sentosa casino. When reached there meter was $12+, he paid me with a $1,000 note. At first I thought it was $100 and as I was reaching my pocket to get the change I noticed it was actually $1,000!!!.
Fark lah, what is he thinking?? We are ATM machine? We can help him with money laundering? Wtf??
Don't they know in the whole SIngapore there are only two cabbies that can give change for $1,000 note? One is NKL who always prepare enough change, and the other one is Poolman whose daily collection will be enough to give change. :)
I turned around to asked him whether he has smaller notes and he just smiles and show me three or four more $1,000 notes in his hands. (So now who'd say PRCs are poor cousins?).
What to do?? what to do??? I asked him whether he has RMB or USD to pay me. If not JPY, Euro or AUD salso can lah, as long as I get paid :). The wife asked me how much if in USD. I said around US$10 and I will give change in SGD. She search through her purse and gave me a USD$20 note and asked me to keep the change,
The note is now part of my son's ever growing collection of foreign currencies notes.
ps, I have another story when a PRC "chicken" gave me HKD100 for a short trip from River Valley to MBS. Akan datang.....
