EnragedSTOMPer Mike Tyson was at Clarke Quay last night (Oct 16) when he saw a man with blood all over his shirt surrounded by paramedics and police officers. He had apparently been punched by a taxi driver in a fight.
Said the STOMPer:
"A man had apparently been punched in the face, leaving him all bloody, after a fight with a cabby at about 12am at Clarke Quay yesterday (Oct 16).
"I'm not sure what happened, but according to a passerby, the man and his friends were crossing the road when the cabby honked at him, which led to the fight.
"From the video, the man who was punched seemed to be upset with the police as well, for some reason.
"He and a male and female friend were heard confronting the police officers.
"At one point, the man who was punched was seen walking off in the middle of the road all of a sudden, before a police officer stopped him.
"His female friend could also be heard shouting at passers-by. telling them off for watching the drama.
"The, dressed in black pants and a white long-sleeved shirt, was seen with another group of men whose car was still at the scene, being questioned by police officers."

taxi driver punching people? got take them his license plate and complain? if complain he sure sacked one.
when people punch you, use your hand to block or at least dodge the punch. dun just stand there and let people punch you.

Law is , 3 or more people fight , consider gang fight , serious crime in Spore .But if 2 , just normal fightings .
Both will be charge , non will be protected like gang fight .
Fined $1000 each , hahahaha in court .

The cabby knows this will be a civil case not a criminal case.
Cabby horn, pedestrian utter expletives show vulgar sign, cabby comes out and punch the guy. Minor fracas, no law broken.
The police most probably advise the guy to take up a private summons against the cabby. Thats why he and his friends are pissed at the police.

It is a bottom of the barrel contingency plan to some.

Let me guess, the men will usually threaten with their careers, who they know (one-sided 100% of the time), how much they are earning, their past heroic histories (usually also souped up appallingly).
After you have bashed their faces with bikie helmet and crippled their knees, they will be so sorry and finally realised that it was just a misunderstanding (usually they will say it's a misunderstanding to save their face).
Then after they have recovered, they will be so impressed and begging to be your friend and they will have absolutely no intention to take revenge because they are actually really wimps deep down inside them.

U checked with Police lor ...My friend got involve in a fight with a guard at Tampines Ave 10 , factory opposite Civil Defense Fire station .
My friend and that guard both fine by court $1000 .
Lucky not 3 or more fight , or else serious crime , gang fight no small case .

And we dont need such a cabby on the road.

We need more tough law like eg. drunk driver causing hurt/death = ban driving for life/long term jail. Road bully causing hurt = ban for driving for life/long term jail. -

I don't agree with you about the part on impatient cabby... It's Clarke Quay where near midnight time, it's a mess. For all you know, the fellow who kenna punched and his friends might have been jaywalking. This is a common sight. So you are suggesting that we just move on slowly and quietly and let them cross the roads?
Like that, what if others see what they did and started crossing the road as well. End up, it becomes like Little India where people will just walk on the roads without bothering about the cars. You want to see this happen?
I'm not impatient nor hot tempered, but if it's me, I will also flash light and start horning... Of course, to settle matters using violence is wrong lah. Rather I hope this type of inconsiderate pedestrains kenna banged so that they will learn not to jaywalk in future.
