Joy and peace for everyone here on Wu ! How beautiful is our old world through your eyes! Just look...
A beautiful evening at Seal Beach Pier!
Another 8" of new snow. It never fails to impress.
How wonderful it is to see some fall colors on the 2nd of January in Arizona. This was taken in the Tonto National Forest on the salt river. This is a rare glimpse of the Salt river which is at a peak low because up stream they are draining a man made lake which when not dammed flows into the river.
An old barn - a favorite of photographers - along Highway 20 between Fort Bragg and Willits.

Sandstone Cliffs and Snow (

Taken in a small area just east of Laramie. The snow and blue sky yeild a large contrast!
A snowy farm in Bath Maine
They look smooth, but are not.
Ethereal January Sky (
DWard)
Although there is little light so far north this time of year, it has a quality not found in southerly climes of more intense sunshine. To enjoy the clear afternoon, the dogs and I drove to the Upper O'Malley trailhead and hiked the Denali View trail, which had been well-packed by a snowmobile. O'Malley Peak is featured on the skyline.
This is the view I see from my house every morning. It was -7 deg so I actually took this shot from my loft window. Talk about lazy...
Beautiful Ben Lomond peak above Ogden Utah. Storms approaching sturring the clouds out of the valley.
These pelicans gave me a golden opportunity for a photo as they flew by while I was framing a beach sunset.
The Alders behind this bush has no snow! It has been snowing and blowing for 5 days, but this little bush wants to keep its snow.
Winter on the St-Lawrence River (
jacquest)
A beautiful morning at Plage Jacques-Cartier on the banks of the St-Lawrence River, Quebec (Cap-Rouge), Qc
I looked out in this field and wondered if this horse was dead! When I stopped and got out,he/she woke-up!
What a photo opportunity. This wonderful little pool of water, a bird feeder nearby. And cooperating cardinals. What a fabulous day I spent. But there is a white cardinal who visits. I got several photos few days ago but they were fuzzy. I am going back! I will get the photos!
The Wave located between Kanab, UT and Page, AZ in Paria Canyon/Coyote Buttes.
Fannette Island "Tea House" (
TammyC)
Fannette is the only island to be found in all of Lake Tahoe. It is located in beautiful Emerald Bay on the west shore of the lake. A sparsely timbered, brush covered upthrust of granite that rises 150 feet above the water, Fannette Island was not always known by that name. During the past 100 years it has been known as Coquette, Fannette, Baranoff, Dead Man's, Hermit's, and Emerald Isle. Fannette was the name that finally stuck. The stone structure on top that looks like a miniature castle is the "Tea House" built during the same time that Vikingsholm was constructed, from 1928-29. After being transported to the island by motorboat, Mrs. Knight and her guests would occasionally be served tea there. A small fireplace in the corner and a large oak table and four oak chairs in the center of the 16 by 16 foot room gave it a very rustic appearance. I never grow tired of shooting this LandMark, and today, it appears almost toy like to me?
Full Moon Sunset in Oceanside Oregon (
xlr8r)
Perfect evening for a stroll on the beach...
Take one part shooting into the sun, and two parts lake-effect, and you get an alien landscape that rules winter here along the Lake Superior shore.
Farewell Bend, Oregon. Wagons left the Snake River for the last time here on the Oregon Trail.
How blessed to start the day seeing this sunrise.
for all my Wug friends- spring is on the way!
Miles and miles above the desert, we spotted this while still 150 miles away. Closer now, the view is incredible!
The sunrise painted the white trees with a beautiful pink glow as I prepared to ski down the mountain after enjoying the scenery for a while
Feature called Three Sisters. Just doesn't seam right to see snow in this desert area. Temps were very cold as well starting out at zero and only climing into the upper 20s. Made for some great contrast.
Delicate Arch framing the La Sal Mountains.
One moon sinse my last upload.Day`s is too busy, have to use the night to take pictures

What a gift from God!
Cold (0 F/-18 C) and windy (50 mph/80 kph)in the Oregon Cascades today, with a 150 inch (3.84 meter) snowpack. Many lifts were closed, but we saw no other skiers on this cross-country trek.
Reflections in the ripples (
suemom)
The big willow casts a reflection in the ripples.
This is in the Santa Rosa/San Jacinto Mountains National Monument. This huge stretch of parkland was finally established in Clinton's last year in office. Attempts to get it done had been going on since 1918.
I was so excited to see this on the way to work!Needless to say I was late.I took about 50 shots. He was kind enough to stay close and pose for me in three different locations. It may be hard to tell in this photo but it is snowing.
Snowy Mountains IV (
Ann75)
Another set of photos from Burnaby Mountain after we had some snow. This one was taken on top of Burnaby Mountain which is about 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver, BC, Canada. Burnaby Mountain Park features great views over downtown Vancouver, the surrounding mountains and Indian Arm (an 18km/11mi fjord). Towering over the distant city are the tall Kamui Mintara (Playground of the Gods) sculptures. The Kamui Mintara is more than a dozen carved poles created by Japanese sculptors Nuburi Toko and his son, Shusei. These impressive sculptures commemorate the goodwill between Burnaby and its sister city, Kushiro, Japan. Enjoy!
