Tips On Where To Do Your Shopping While In Kagoshima
Kagoshima is one of those Japanese prefectures that are forever full of excitement to every visitor. You can visit this city for short trip, long holiday or vacation. There is a lot to seeranging from Sakurajima, hot springs, and historical monuments like Tsurumaru castle. Sakurajima is especially very popular all over the world because it is a famous, very active volcano that often erupts and spews lava all over the Sakurajima peninsular, and ash all over Kagoshima. You are in fact not allowed to go very close to it because it can (and does) erupt quite powerfully at any given time of the day. Tsurumaru Castle is a remains of a castle from the Satsuma rebellion which was a key battle in Japanese history. There are these and very many other exciting things to see during your visit here.However, when it comes to shopping, where should one go? There are very many large-scale shopping centers all over Kagoshima city. The largest three shopping areas in this area are the city center, Tenmonkan, but there is strong, and growing competition from the area around Kagoshima Chuo station, and Aeon Shopping Center (alsocalled Jusco - Aeon), which is a large, out-of-town complex housing a serious shopping-spree's worth of shops. You will be able to buy pretty much all that you are looking for other than three albino peacocks (you'd need to order them in advance by a couple of weeks) in this selection of places. If you are looking for another place, there's also a smaller shopping center called Misumi Opsia, a couple of discount shops, one called Big II, and some fruit and fish markets near Kagoshima Chuo Station. Get a bus, or rent a car for Aeon Shopping Center.
These centres include the following
Amu Plaza: this is another exciting place from where you can do your shopping while having fun. The unique thing about this shopping center is that it has a large Ferris wheel (the Amuran) of 60 meters diameter that is positioned at the roof top from where you can get a clear view of the Kagoshima city. You will also have very clear view of the Kinko Bay, Sakurajima and the beauty of the city lights at night.
Frespo Jungle Park: This is a shopping mall that was set up recently. It contains games arcade, cinema and various restaurants. The shopping mall is located at the Yojiro district close to the Kinko Bay.
Opsia Misumi: This is a very large commercial set up that opened its doors towards the end of 2007. It stocks wide variety of sports, cosmetics, clothing, goods and pharmaceutical products. There are also some other outlets that sell home appliances near to this city.
Yamakataya: This department store is the oldest in the Kagoshima. It stocks various items from all over the world such as cosmetics, prepared food, beauty products and home electronics among very many others. At this store you will get very large selection of all the items that you need to make your trip or vacation one in lifetime. There is also a very classic cafeteria within this department shopping store. You can have all your delicious meals from the cafeteria before or after shopping.
Dolphin Port: This is the ideal place for the amusement and eating. It is located at place whereby you can clearly view the Kinko bay and the Sakurajima. This place features high class restaurants and modern cafés that serve local Japanese delicacies. There are also some craft shops from where you can purchase the local specialist goods. If you are with your couple or family there are amusementfacilities to offer exactly what you need.
