Not Chicken Rice is Chicken Porridge.
http://www.amaminosato.jp.e.eu.hp.transer.com/garden/ja/an/group/group.html
With soup addon to the rice and all this... chicken, omelette strips, muchrooms, ginger strips, shredded seaweeds and sesame seeds. ...this is Chicken rice from Amami Oshima special.
Not chicken rice should say porridge.
The soup is just like tomyam but not spicy, but with lemon scent.
Overall good.

Keihan rice (飯 Keihan , "Chicken-rice") is a local dish of Kagoshima,
Amami, and Okinawa in the south of Japan.
It is generally cooked with chicken, and although the exact recipe can vary,
it often includes ingredients such as egg, pickles, dried shiitake,
orange peel, nori, soup stock andsake.
It is a popular meal in Kagoshima, and a standard school lunch menu.
The origin of Keihan rice is unclear.
One theory is that it evolved from a local variant of takikomi gohan,
in the town of Kasari in Amami ÅŒshima,
but it is also possible that the dish was brought into Amami from the Japanese mainland.
It is thought to date back at least as far as the Edo period(1600~1867);
the lords of Kagoshima,
the Shimazu clan, would often serve Keihan rice when entertaining government officials,
and the recipe features in many contemporary cooking books.
The above using the same ingredients and the soup base,
just go along with the somen or rice, your wish your choice.
came with two kinds of serving as you like.

Japan's cone-shaped, snow-topped volcano, Mount Fuji, has been granted World Heritage status, at a Unesco meeting in Cambodia.
Unesco said Mount Fuji had "inspired artists and poets and been the object of pilgrimage for centuries".
Mt Fuji, south-west of Tokyo, is Japan's highest mountain at 3,776m (12,460 ft).
The volcano, which last erupted just over 300 years ago, is visible from the Japanese capital on a clear day.
Known by many other names throughout Japan, Kibinago are small fish, 5~10cm in length. Don't let its size fool you. This stuff is good. "Sashimi in Kagoshima?" You'll get served this. Eaten with shoyu (soy sauce) or a vinegar-miso blend, it's a must-try. The fresher the fish the more shine it has. The ones with blue-silver gils are thought to be the freshest. Eaten also as tempura and on skewers, grilled, dried and in miso soup, you're missing out if you don't try Kibinago.
What are the other UNESCO heritage sites, now you know MT Fuji already got it.
For Kagoshima,
some local specials, like below.
you must try all this. when you are there.

Repeated eruptions from the Sakurajima volcano have produced large amounts of ash draping the city center Sept. 15, the Kagoshima Local Meteorological Agency said. Eruptions from the volcano overlooking the city of Kagoshima began on Wednesday morning, dumping 217 grams of ash per square meter (7 ounces per 10 square feet), the third-highest level of ash to fall since records began in 1994. Volcanic ash covered much of Kagoshima's Tenmmonkan entertainment and business district on Thursday morning, visibly forming clouds as cars drove through it and many pedestrians covering their faces with towels or surgical masks to avoid breathing it in.
The actual senerio, once the ash came to the Kagoshima City.
Nobody like this kind of condition.

World's largest.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nachosan/3588274/
The most well known products of Sakurajima are the world's largest Sakurajima daikon radish and the world's smallest Sakurajima mandarin. Both are raised in Sakurajima's volcano ash soil.
The Sakurajima radish is called "Shima-dekon" by the locals. It is the biggest and heaviest radish recorded in the Guinness world of Records. The record stands at 29.6kg!! The Sakurajima radish is jucier and more tender than other radishes. The harvest time is around December. "The World Biggest Sakurajima daikon radish contest" is held in Sakurajima every year. They can be eaten cooked with soy sauce, dried in strips or pickled.
