This your answer...From Kagoshima you need a ferry to go to Sakurajima to where the volcano eruption that lsland, after arriving from the jetty there is a car rental company immediately across the opposite side, two hours rental round the island no need to top up gas 4800 yen its about s$80 cause the only rental company over there and convenient location collecting and return. bo pian. ended up each only s$20 round the island. They are using the Nissan Mocca a small CC car in Japan classified as kei class.with yellow plate.
Back to the mainland Kagoshima, the rental is about 5000 yen from collect the car in the morning and return at 8pm. Normally gas is about twelve sing dollars for the whole day usage on a kei car
last three days we took a mazda 323 Singapore version hatchback...from Kagoshima to Krishima upslope and return back to Kagoshima only $17 per day on gas.

Actually Japan...everywhere is the same.... with your camera in hand many things you can capture without stopping and all are mother nature, no artificial manmake.
I took nearly 600 pictures back, when i am ready, will post later. the beauty of autumn.

Kurobuta（Berkshire Pork）Shabu Shabu

Shochu Spirits
Shochu distilled spirit is mostly made from sweet potatoes. One can enjoy drinking it on the rocks, in cocktails or with cold or hot water. In Amami Islands, shochu is made from brown sugar taken from sugar cane.
Ramen
A richly flavored soup made from pork bones as well as chicken bones and vegetables, and noodles that are slightly on the thicker side characterizes a typical Kagoshima ramen. It is a hearty, satisfying meal.
Satsuma-age (fried fish cakes)
Satsuma-age is a local delicacy of Kagoshima that is made of fresh fish paste seasoned with distilled spirits called shochu. Traditionally called "Tsuki-age" in Kagoshima, it is highly cherished by people here. There is a great variety of fillings these days that include cheese, sweet potato, and lotus root, among others.
Kuroge Wagyu （Japanese Black beef）
Kagoshima's Kuroge Wagyu was perfected after many improvements made in the local breed. Savor the finely marbled tender flesh and smooth texture.
Tea
Kagoshima, which prides itself as Japan's second largest producer of greentea, is also famous for the earliest first-harvest greentea in the country for its mild climate.
Unagi (freshwater eel)
Kagoshima is the leading cultivation and production region for unagi in Japan. Rich in vitamins A and E, unagi is thought to lower cholesterol levels and to help prevent hardening of the arteries.
Fish
Facing the Pacific Sea and Kinko Bay and blessed with bountiful seafood and other marine resources, Kagoshima offers a rich variety of authentic seafood cuisine such as sashimi, fried fish, and boiled fish that are all characterised by their freshness and excellent taste.
Chicken
Among Kagoshima's most famous chicken dishes are the local traditional Chicken Rice dish of Amami Oshima and the Satsuma Local Chicken cuisine that counts itself among the three greatest local chicken dishes in Japan. You can enjoy chicken on a skewer, as sashimi, or in any other number of original dishes.
Sweets
Japanese confectionaries and Western sweets unique to Kagoshima include Karukan (cakes made from yams, rice powder and sugar), Akumaki (glutinous rice mixed with lye and wrapped in the skin of a bamboo shoot) and Sweet Potato, all tasty souvenirs that are sure to please your friends and family.
Satsuma Cuisine
There is a lot of delicious fruits of the sea and riches of the land in Kagoshima such as Tonkotsu (slowly stewed pork chops) and Satsuma Age (fried fish cake). Needless to say, they are perfect accompaniments to Shochu (distilled spirit made from sweet potato), which has recently become popular.

The Kurobuta (Berkshire Pork) the local called them six white, Why? six parts all white, mean all four legs, nose and tail, the rest of the body part is black. Currently hear say Hong Kong market are very popular and crazy about this Kurobuta (black pig). Next the Kuroge Wagyu ( Black beef).

Singapore famous Chicken rice, over there their local traditional chicken Rice dish Amami Oshima consider one of their best die die must try. ended up its just porridge using the Japanese rice gain, not bad also.
Shashimi Chicken, haha only fish as we know over there chicken. try it than you know what its all about.

Ibusuki...another interesting place Hot Spring near the beach, for 10 minute that is enough, surrender cannot tahan under 38 to 40 degree hot beach sand covered from your legs to body.
