Something new to me.
Just got some conversation last night with my friend Suzuki chan.
He told me this time we will bring us to taste this in Fukuoka.
Ya...Singapore, you can never find this.
For winter, but this time summer he is not sure, maybe he will request, and see whether they can do it for us on special order.

MOTSUNABE ã‚‚ã¤é‹(Hot Pot with Cow’s intestine)
Motsunabe originated in Fukuoka, and one can only expect to find the best motsunabe only in Fukuoka. Nabe means “hot pot”, and Motsu means “Offal” (usually beef intestines). Put them together and you know what this dish is all about. The hot pot is filled with soup, prepared beef or pork offal and boiled for a while right at your table. Cabbage, garlic and other vegetables are added. Champon noodles can also be added. Some of you might find the idea of eating beef innards as strange, but give it try and you will see why it is such a hit. It doesn’t look and taste as scary as it sounds. Fukuoka has the most efficient way of maintaining the freshness of the offal hence the ability to make the best motsunabe in Japan.
Motsunabe goes well with Shotsuu(焼酎) and beer. Probably the most interesting place to try it in Fukuoka.
Very true one of this is mentioned here.
Motsunabe.
Thank, to my friend recommendation..

Kyushu, located at the southwest end of the Japanese archipelago, consists of the Kyushu mainland and the chain of Southwest Islands. The Kyushu region includes seven prefectures: Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Kumamoto, Miyazaki and Kagoshima.
An early center of Japanese civilization, Kyushu offers many historic treasures, modern cities and natural beauty. Blessed with the richness of nature and a warm climate, Kyushu accounts for approximately 10 percent of Japan's GNP, and forms the fourth economic zone following the main metropolitan areas of Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, all of which are found on the main island of Honshu. The natural environment shows its complexity and remarkable diversity here. Gigantic caldera volcanoes line up one after another, and appropriately Kyushu is called "Land of Fire." Here, too, are numerous hot springs. From the map, one can see that the Kyushu region is surrounded by the sea, including characteristic coastlines and various isolate islands. Kyushu is also blessed with a variety of foods and materials thanks to the abundance of nature, and the characteristic local dishes rooted in each area are unique and wide-ranging.
These itineraries include cherry blossoms viewing in the spring and fall foliage tours in the autumn.

Fukuoka was the first place where rice farming was introduced from Asia in the fourth century BCE, and items and remains have been found from that period and later showing the continued links between Fukuoka and the Chinese Empire. Often emissaries from China and Korea would pass through Fukuoka (or Hakata as it is sometimes called), and Japanese missions would also use the ports of the area as the start of their trips to the continent. Pottery is also well known in the prefecture, particularly Agano-yaki and Koishiwara-yaki.
One of the most famous types of ramen is tonkotsu, noodles in a pork stock soup. Originally from the Fukuoka area, this has become one of the Japanese standards and can be found all over the country. Other items traditionally associated with Fukuoka include karashi mentaiko (spicy fish roe), unagi (eel) and fugu (the famous pufferfish, a fatal delicacy, if not correctly prepared), but these are also associated with other cities in Japan.
Friday, that about 8pm at night, we will be here at base camp from Fukuoka ( http://www.pref.kagoshima.jp/foreign/english/index.html)
Why? is that so, cause another group 4 of my kakis will be arriving at 3pm Friday at Fukuoka airport from Taipei where they transit, cause they never manage to get the SQ ticket on line offer in time.
That why decision must be fast, never wait wait wait.
See wasted the loss of few hours, we 4 of us are arrive by SQ about 6.30 am in the morning.
Need to wait for them to come at 3pm. from Taipei.
Haha, we will be heading to town first from Fukuoka airport by our hired cars Alphard.
What shall we do?
Wait for my first bowl of Fukuoka Ramen when the shop opened after 10 am.
They sure miss this good chance.
Where? Where?
Fukuoka Ramen.
Yes,
from here..good.
other part of Japan, also got.
First experience on Kagoshima my the other kakis, so excited.
Today also keep asking me how, what ,this, that.
especially those 4 transit from Taipei.
worry the communication at airport at Fukuoka.
so my other four kakis in Taipei, more fortunate than us the four included me flying tomorrow night, why.?
They already there last monday last monday. cause they can't buy SQ intime so they go by TIger also cheap than connect a Taiwan flight China airline to Kagoshima also can. little more than us but they see moreTaipei extra few days.
Thank God, they see Typhoon at Taipei for free once in the lifetime.
experience once not bad.
we are too late for Kagoshima, if we are there early we also will witness the valcano eruption of Sakurajima.
that why sometime this also depend on your luck.
Typhoon coming to Taiwan with this scale not evreyones, can encounter.
They are so luicky.
There is alway a way?
Don't panic SQ promotion end no probelm,
You can share along with us how we used Plan B to Kagoshima.
First we go to Tiger budget airline and secured 4 tickets at S$401.68, Sing to Taipei two ways.
Than to China Airline S$628.69, Taipei to Kagoshima two ways.
So dun worry so much,
as what ericgo before, worried why i posted so often in this thread, and with so many peoples interested.
that why i told this subject.
knowledge speak wisdom listen.
today still no sign of this subject here.
hehehe
For just only S$10000 are you sure you can organised a group of eight to Kyushu?
How can that be... sorry ticket as you know is excluded.
Just only S$10000 that is enought, i should say. for this trip.
A person less than S$1500 estimate, so now just collected from them S$1250.
Why? can, all hotels already booked, all restaurants also booked, but some lunch and breakfast, could be eating out with take away.
Car rentals, Petrol calculated, Highway tolls calculated, parking fares calculated.
So that why? currently this is enough.
One expensive Sabu Sabu at Kagoshima in a restaurant is sponsor by our Singapore Govt,
This included, Black, pork, Black wangyu beef.
Why, all eight, everyone got the GST rebates, $100 or $250.
So it is rather fool never utilised it the money given by the Govt,
so the reserve some good memory we spend it at foreign land from the Govt...hehehe.
Can you do this in Singapore, a budget hotel room, how much will it cost?
In Kagoshima, you know how much is the rate.
Will shown you, later when i am back,
Sure you cover your mouths.
So never believe, Singapore is a place to travel, cheap.
I, say only hotels.
All vendors here are very cunning ones.
More than S$100 than you get a room.
