Using td backside as their face

I kena two taxi drivers recently that ask me for tips indirectly.
When I got into the taxis, they started to chat with me and then keep telling me how generous their customers and they tell me that customers give them balance dollars and coins ie $12.40 trip, give $20 notes and to tip them $7.60.
I have no luggage and I travel empty-handed in the taxis and yet the taxis drivers ask for tips though indirectly.

Thinks he is a great chap pay for me first, but in actual just say to make him happy, suck up to him and take credit for it. Same goes for that ang mo manager but his sucking up back fired.
That is call use our ass as their face.
And gee to parn that keeps saying give me yr taxi number to wrote a report, could u give me yr company’s name and yr actual name as ur posting during yr working hours.
Yes it is true that at times u need to have a bowl of yr own pee to reflect at yrself
Learn from Jackie Chan in "The Tuxedo", he's a good taxi driver which all taxi drivers should look forward to.You think it's easy to write a good complaint letter? Why don't you go write one for yourself lor...
I don't think your company will even take your complaint letter seriously. Maybe they will use their company funds to organise english course for you.

I dun really understand the need to post such thread... It's very simple. If you get your tips, good for you. Dun whine if you didn't.
Simple as that, if you were in the other party shoe, you'd do the same. Would you stop your friend from paying more than what he owes? Would you advise your guest that tipping is not really necessary or practised in our country?
I would say yes, I would do that as well. This is not called using td's asses as their face but doing their part of responsibilities in terms of work or relationship.

aiya...... end of the day just nt happy no tips ma... tok so much.... actually giving tips is sth more.. as long as u get ur fares should be happy already...
tips is sth extra.. i think it should be viewed as performance bonus... gd tip gd service.. bad service no tip for td..

It's their job to provide polite and professional customer service and drive safely at all times.
Just pray that you don't sit on a taxi that brings you to Holland.

Yes, don not tip them, the best you don't take taxi.
Go buy a car, take public transport if you can not afford. Why?
Because, if you take taxi, one day surely you will meet one nasty TD who provides you professional customer service.
