Got a call booking at Shenton way, proceed and reached....then one man got into my taxi.......then he beckon the rest of his family to come in....2 elderly and 2 middle age and a children.....total of 5.....which means 4 adult and a children.
I was in dilema......I am sorry but i decided not to take them.....
Some say i am right, some say i am not flexible enough, i do not know if i should stick to my stand of not picking up overload......or be flexible and exercise pity to the family who wanted to go home, as a family........some would say ask them book 7seater.....but why should they pay more.....even if i dont take, they are always someone else who would do the job, they will eventually find a 4seater that will take them back......They look pitiful when they left the taxi...with the kid asking....so fast reach home? And the dad explained.....we are overload.......I'd thought they might continue the journey with the dad taking another taxi.....but they all left....so looks like they been doing this stunt quite often......I might seem heartless for doing this.........i hope i did the right thing........
What a choice between compassion and rules & regulations......
After some thinking, i believed this is a planned action, the man got in my taxi, while his other family member waited at a this distance, after i on my meter, then he beckon his family members to enter....if i reject i will lose the cdg booking fee.
And after i reject, they all left......they could have leave some and continued the journey, thus the next trip is not another overload situation.....
So how? Overload....would u take out of compassion?

Leave your emotion at home.
Go by the book and never break the any rule.
Who will pity you should you get into any accident if you overloaded and insurance company would to deny claim.

U drive comfort then lan lan loh. I also kanna once your situation. Indian family knn also chut this kinda stunt. This time is ask me go inside car park from the drop off point at Choa Chu Kang area HDB. Destination AP and with a lot luggages. I fuck him upside down straight away,"DO YOU UNDERSTAND ENGLISH?" I pointed to the dash board sitting capacity chart. "YOU WANT TO PLAY ME ISSIT? I CALLING THE POLICE NOW TELLING THEM YOU FORCE ME TO OVERLOAD MY CAB AND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY NO NEED TO CATCH THE FLIGHT LIAO!!!!....YOU WAIT I CALL....." Whip out my handphone immediately he apologise...."Sorry uncle I call another cab, can you please help me load the luggages and take my mother and wife there first?".....

Notin wrong if u cant load all of them when they hav multiple luggage, knn how u goin to fit in anything.......... also if they really hav 5 pax u can dun take no need scared complain cause u r doing the right thing -

But I really F them upside down. Last time I drive before CDG also reject 5 pax and F them upside down end up they complain to CDG says I rude to pax and CDG call me up and tell me one more time I rude they issue me warning. PHUI

Young man , in Singapore , wrong means wrong , commit a crime means commit a crime .
If Police happy , they can put you extra charges , driving overload passengers in a public transport without a valid insurance .
Many things , what is the problem of taking 2 cabs ? Cheapos ma .
I never take that .
5 ? Take 2 taxis .

I think basically, many peoples still do not understand why you are not allow to take more than 5 paxs, it is not that LTA is hard on TD or commuters, it is a matter of capacity and safety, anything that is overloaded than what the vehicle can take can cause vehicle out of control, and for that matter, if you carry more than 4 paxs and get into an accident, you will be in deep trouble. Pax will just said they don't know, TD did not warn them, and insurance may not cover for you, and also LTA will be hard on you.
Take a look at the recent death in those overload ferry in malaysia? The north south highway in malaysia where singapore car, especially MPVs and vans get into serious accident due to out of control, all are overloaded with passengers and all those heavy bags .

Once i was inside Sentosa Cove , mdt *ping* , Tanjong Beach Taxi Stand . A Sunday .
Reached there , a family of Indians .
2 old , 2 young , and their children .
Uncle , can put the seat up ?
"What put what seat ?"
" Behind ."
" What ? Behind gas tank ."
" Huh cannot seat so many ?"
I come liao .... : " Hello , u pay $2.50 cannot get 7-seater , 7-seater if u want , 30 minutes wait , 16 booking ."
$2.50 passenger .
"so u want to take ?"
"all ? I cannot take ,"
" U must call for another taxi ."
They said : " Ok ! i'll call from Comfort "
I zoomed off .
Good luck i will say to that Comfort if got .
if dun have , good luck to them .
Half way out of Sentosa , my TransCab called me : Uncle , can you U-turn to that pax ."
I just hang up ! Hahahahaha

not only that, if you take 5 paxs, next time they will increase to 6, 7 and so on. Out of control. I also got 5 paxs wanted to board my cab, but i told them law and safety concern, some even insist that, alamak Uncle, why u scare, just nearby only, go lah. Haha, testing my coolness, well, they get the wrong uncle, ask them drop off or we can all sit here and wait till cow come home

That day , i was at Ion Orchards , 5 ladies came to me , uncle can take ?
"5 ? Must call 2 taxis ."
"Ok u call ?"
" Ok going where ?"
" City Hall Grand Park ."
I pages the jobs out .
both taxis came in 5 minutes .
They waited for an hour at that taxi stand .
