Sadly, WizQ will not huat this CNY. Will be out of town from 4th to 7th.
But I'm happy all brothers here can huat BIG time :)
ps, last year also no huat because haven't started driving taxi yet. :'(

How's Chinatown ?
Got jam ?
Last Saturday i heard Lighting Opening Ceremony ?
Then some road closed .
Now Chinatown as usual leh , not much jams i think , cos my fellow LV members never say anything about that stretch got jams .

I've done my Reunion Dinner , believe that ?

No choice , my elder brother going India to work during this period , so before he fly off to India , we eat .
So i am tentatively ..... full swing on Chinese New Year Eve from 3pm !!

CCK start work , Zoo first , get one to town , then all town liao ..... stick in town all the way until 8pm hopefully .

The common strategy for CNY EVE is to "attack" places with massive flow of tourists .
Pls do not waste time go places like industrial park , office towers , all half day .
ERP also off half day .
Airport will be one place with not much taxis , esp 4pm onwards to 6pm , cos majority chinese cabbies makan at that time .
Zoo all the way . Zoo is one good place u can connect pax to town ( hotels ) .
MBS and RWS will be one place where Singaporean will go .
Bird Park also one place .
Shopping arcade like Orchard stretch , got timing one , 4pm onwards , to 7pm .
Pls do not waste time cruising from 5pm to 8pm at HDB area .
All still eating , hdb area's street will be one hell of quiet .
Harbourfront will be the worst place to hail for a cab .

Place like HDB shopping mall .... u will expect good human Q .
But f*ck la , all is like Lot-1 to CCK St 51 , waste time type .
If they want my cab , they have to book-a-cab .
Anyway , if presume i start at 3pm , not likely i will be at any HDB zone at 5pm .

Cos most shopping arcade closed at 6pm .
From 7pm onwards , time to get back to basic , HDB .

Families going home , cos reunion ma , grandchildren go to grand parents house makan .
Gamblers ready for Casino business .
MJ kakis ready for mahjong sessions .
Boyfriend go to girlfriend house .
Movie goers see movies .

Chinatown , close for sure .
Pls alight paxes at Outram or Chinatown Point , tradtional la knn .

Be prepare to see coffee shops most closed .
Except maybe Kopi Tiam chains .
And Koufu , plus S11 outlets .
Expect coffee , tea and soft drinks to go up $0.10 to $0.20 .

Places that will need taxis badly ?
Woodlands , Jurong , Sengkang , Punggol , Bt Batok , Yew Yee , Yishun , Sembawang .
Why ar u may ask ?
Cos most taxis at all over Singapore , not Saturated .
This areas are far end type , lesser taxis will come back after heading down .
My experience , East side will never be shortage of taxis , dunno why ?

Be tactful in picking paxes .

if it's a foreign worker type , like China man , pls be prepare to go RWS , not Chinatown .
If it's non-chinese , in party wear , pls expect the pax to go clubbing , nothing else .
if a family of chinese , papa mumy and kids , pls expect them to go Chiantown .

Solid one , go friend's place gamble type , rws type , mbs type .
If it's a single man , hand carry a small bag , like 2 oranges , don't expect him to go RWS or MBS . He's going to friend's house play mahjong , hahahahah

6am to 9am .......Quiet !
9.30am onwards , non stop , people rushing for your taxis , call non stop ping ping ping .... dun waste time , street picked and go .
Call your head !
All the way until 3pm .
Avoid town at all cost .
CNY first day is about HDB to HDB
The most crowded place , people can actually fight for taxis , AMK and Bedok , hahahha , just my personal experiences .

Night ? 1st day of CNY ?
Bad la , slow , cruising , then take one , alight , cruise again ....
Sian la knn ...
Still okay la , guarantee got connections , but no kick one .
Expect more yawns than any other day .

2nd Day of CNY , day shift , prepare to drive like crazy as well .
Night ? Lagi sianzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
