Quite frustrated when my MDT was down and went back for repair/replacement 3 times in 3 wk. Wasting my time and my income had down in the past 2 wk.
When I went back today, came to know that they had changed the setting.
The advance booking ($5.20 type) will not flash when you are 'on hired' mode. That is to say that when you have pax in your cab, no flashing of adv booking at all... wif!
Adv booking will only broadcast when you are 'for hire' mode (no pax in cab).
One thing made me frustrated was that the adv bookings broadcasting keep coming in when I juz took a current call and was on the way to the destination. The flashing erase my map when I was using it to navi to the dest.
They juz claimed that it was you guys cabbies requested for it.
any comment for fellow CDG uncles?
I think the adv bookings broadcasting shld come at any time be it whether you have a pax in your cab or not.
Usually I will accept adv call booking when I was with a pax in my cab. During that time, I am more relax driving than I was not with pax. When I was searching for pax on road, my concentration is on the road and streets... like radar scanning for pax. The flashing will destract me.
The calls usually comes in when we are at expressway, this make it easier to read and acknowledge.
Dun know why nowadays adv calls from west area came in when I was in the east. eg: When I was at the airport queuing, adv call ... "Tuas to Jurong west" came in. What the hell?
